tehnick
Hi, with 10.4.8 and latest kernel, my ethernet is no longer being recognized/working. It used to work back in 10.4.6.. I read that the fix for this is to use the IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.4.6/10.4.7, but I don't have access to those DVDs anymore. Is there anywhere I can get these kexts? Or if someone who has 10.4.7 or 10.4.6, can you upload IONetworkingFamily.kext? The ethernet used to work before 10.4.8... I have chipset nForce3 250GB and using the built-in LAN. tehnick
I managed to get my 10.4.6 DVD working, and got the 1.5.0 version of IONetworkingFamily.kext off it. I installed it and network is working. I uploaded the kext incase anyone else has a similar problem: http://sharebee.com/a3372e73 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37250-network-in-1048/#findComment-265106 Share on other sites

FanClerks
Thanks for the tip. I replaced the IONetworkingFamily.kext with the one you provided and it works perfectly! Thanks a bunch! For reference, I'm running this 10.4.8 with the 8.8.1 kernel on an Inspiron 8600.
