Elproducto
Let me begin by thanking you guys for taking up this task of creating these drivers. I have the intel 3945 and for some reason my wireless card is coming up as Built In Ethenet. The Mac address supplied for built in ethernet correspondes with my wireless card. I have included my logs with this posting. I have a HP 6400 with Jas 10.4.8. It also has a Broadcom 5753M gigabit ethernet built in. Thanks for any help in advance. dmesg.txt ioreg.txt system.txt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/47/#findComment-322715 Share on other sites

patatester
Ok i finally got around trying the new changes for 3945. Everything seems ok concerning the firmware / mac address . The card did respond to events triggered by my laptop's wireless hot key. I remember jalavoui saying something needed to be chae about rx or tx queues? Thats where our focus should be headed I think. I did one minor fix which allows the card to detect available channels. In ipw_start() I believe, where ipw_nic_init(), ipw_sw_reset() are located ... Lol, sorry Im not very precise. Heres a new kext, post your results, errr post your logs. System.log preferrably. Dysan911
more updates... - this is rev 224 iwi3945 i changed the code to use the new mac80211-4.0.4 functions (see intel link in google iwidarwin) this could mean that the code from iwi3945 will be diferent from other iwi's project - i hope not http://iwidarwin.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/...945/iwi3945.dmg Not certain if the above is supposed to resolve the issue I have of the Airport being off and unable to turn it on.. but I applied the updated release above and there is absolutely no change whatsoever. My Aiport status remains as "OFF" I assume others have already reported that and have posted the logs. I just wanted to make a note of it that the updated code didn't do squat for me.. but the efforts are Sooooooooooo Appreciated!
