BchBum11511
I have been reading this thread for a couple of days now. I can't find the answer to my question. I have a z60m IBM laptop running with everything working great. I have installed the latest iwi2200 driver and I can connect to an access point. However, whether there is one around or not, my computer freezes after about 7 minutes. All I have to do is go into the Info.plist file and turn the use 10.4.8 to 0, and I don't have a problem. I am not able to connect to anything wirelessly, but my computer doesn't freeze. It's not a problem like trying to download a large file, it just does it when it wants to. Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if you need more info. BchBum11511
moseschrist, I already have that version installed. That's why I thought it was something else. Would the freeze still happen if it found and connected to an access point? I thought that if it found one, it would stop searching, but it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't. Thanks anyway. moseschrist
it will search as long as it is not connected. it is quite wierd, i took a 3hr train ride today and had no crash and as far as i know there was no access point in the train. i'm still getting the "crash" if i d/l a big file or severl files that amount to ~180MB one after another... dtflick
I just want to say thanks to all the guys working so hard to get this fixed. I really, REALLY appreciate it. I wish I was as apt as you guys so I could help out. Anyway, I am running a 3945 card and have the iwi installed and it is recognized and I have the airport on, but like so many others, I cannot detect any available wireless networks. Here are my logs for you guys to play with. I am not concerned with connecting to a WEP or otherwise secured wireless, as the setup I am using has the security disabled. Thanks in advance. ioreg.txt dmesg.txt system.txt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/46/#findComment-322326 Share on other sites
