deloreanrocks
ok, heres whats happenin. i have the required tiger-x86.tar file, but before I get crazy i wanna see if i can do what i want. I have a HP PC with a 2.8 PIV and a gig of RAM, two video cards, blah blah. I have three internal HD's HD 1 - D:/ - cannot by touched or looked at. has a stripped down XP installation for recording purposes. HD 2 - C:/ and F:/ - partitioned into a blank 15 gig space (C:/) for general use and the rest (115 gigs, F:/ ) houses my main windows installation. HD 3 - E:/ and G:/ - two backup partitions for general use, one is 140 gigs, the other, 94 gigs. I also have a 120 Gig external drive, but not with me. whatever, doesnt matter here, just thought id mention the overkill. Of course i want to install OS X, but i want to make sure my current windows install(s) arent going to be killed. Also, id like this to be useful, not just to say i did it. i want to use OSX as my general interface for day to day whatever, and run parallels for all my windows apps. This includes games, photoshop, video apps, dreamweaver, etc. i know i can get OS X versions, but if i have perfectrly fine windows versions, well, you get the idea. so, with that all in mind, tell me, am I quite mad or is this completely feasible? Grama
wut u said about parellels is impossible.... there unfortunately is no directx translation yet in coherency..... however just installing os x should be all you have to do.... it would be nice to know wut video cards u have and also wut motherboard chip and audio pretty much everything..... you should be posting in the hardware section btw so if it is moved dont be hurt and so yah wut u have to do is.... list all possible hardware (cpu, mobo + chipset, ram make and type, audio, vid car(s) (i believe there is not support for multi gpu's yet) hd make and type (ata/sata) anything iforgot???? next tell us or better yet read the posts yourself and learn like the rest of us had to decide if your hardware is compatible (if you can't tell, ask) if it is, decide where u are gonan install it and how u are gonna multi boot follow guides on how to install..... if it doesn't work on the first try then dont be discouraged.... u are trying to run an os that was designed for specific software dont feel bad it you dont succeed at first! ask questions!
