james downer
Hi everyone, I've been having a problem booting into the OSX JaS 10.4.7 install DVD on my computer. As I boot from the disc, I get to the point where it says "press any button to load Darwin bootloader" (or something along those lines), and then my screen goes blank as the computer reboots. I've tried it with a few different OSX discs now. It's not a problem with the DVD drive, since I've installed it with this drive before on this same computer. What I believe the issue is is my motherboard; I recently changed it. Does anyone know if there are compatibility issues with NForce 570 SLIT-A motherboards? And if there are, whether or not they are fixable in the forseeable future? Thanks. SteveStar
Check this page, if you scroll a bit down you notice that there is a list of osx versions and there you can check if your hardware is supported. ddofborg
I have the same problem with 10.4.7 and so far I can see I have compatible hardware. If you solved it, please let us know. There are some other post if you look for reboot. So far no real answer Edited December 27, 2006 by ddofborg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36446-rebooting-on-dvd-boot-motherboard-issue/#findComment-262889 Share on other sites
