LeComputador
Here's my problem: I'm on 10.4.7 and every time I run an installer package the installer app hangs on the Introduction screen with a busy cursor. It never goes anywhere and I need to force quit the installer. I've tried running it on a safe boot and I get the same result. If it helps, when I go to "About this mac", the interface crashes and brings me back to my login screen. I also have to delete Extensions.kextcache and Extensions.mkext before I shut down or else I get about a 50% chance of making the system boot past the firewire initialization. Thoughts? Rammjet
What processor and motherboard do you have? During installation, what packages did you choose in the Customize window? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=4499 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36363-installer-problems/#findComment-258679 Share on other sites
LeComputador
The system is a Compaq Presario V2414NR notebook with a Turion ML-28 processor and 2GB of RAM. I installed the 10.4.7 JaS DVD through VMWare (conflict between PS/2 and USB prevents native install), then removed the USBOHCI kext to resolve the conflict. I also installed the ATI SB400 kext and XPress 200M onboardata kext. Rammjet
But during the installation, you went to the Customize window (see picture I linked above) and chose packages for your computer. What did you choose? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36363-installer-problems/#findComment-258753 Share on other sites

Rammjet
Try the AMD Enabler. Go to the Misc link in my signature and find it under AMD Enabler. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36363-installer-problems/#findComment-258822 Share on other sites
