Rizm
I just installed the 10.4.8 update for intel. OS.X asked for a restart. But now when it's booting, the white background with apple logo appears and the it's rebooting again. This happens in a continuous loop. Did I do something wrong? Rammjet
What packages did you choose in the Customize window during installation? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=6330 None of them is a wrong answer. All of them is a wrong answer. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36357-reboot-loop/#findComment-258649 Share on other sites
Rizm
Sorry, I think I wasn't clear enough. I first installed jas 10.4.7 with only the combo update and sse2. All worked fine. Then I downloaded the 10.4.8 update, installed it, rebooted and the the problem began. Rizm
Not that I know of. I don't even know what a mach_kernel is. Do you not replaced mach_kernel? Rammjet
The mach_kernel is the brain of the OS. It was installed by the 10.4.8 updater. Follow the 10.4.8 link in my signature and read the 10.4.8 SSE2 guides for clues of how to update to 10.4.8 SSE2 from 10.4.7.
