R.I.P. Corsair AX1500i 😢

It appears my faithful old PSU has finally chosen retirement after many years of powering this X299 Hackintosh through countless macOS, Clover, OpenCore and OCLP adventures.

Writing from my mobile phone

while waiting for replacement hardware. 😄

Cheers,
KGP 👍

Configuration:

  • Open Core 1.0.7
  • SIP: csr-active-config = <01000000>
  • Audio: VoodooHDA.kext 4.0
  • No Wi-Fi
  • No root patches

Hi dear friend, Where can I find VoodooHDA.kext version "4.0"? The last version I could find was 3.12.

Back with a new beating heart (Corsair HX1500i) powering my beloved X299 Hackintosh. ❤️

Fast, small and painless sequential OTA update (929 MB) from macOS 26.5 to macOS 26.5.1 (25F80).

So far, Apple has not released a Kernel Debug Kit for macOS 26.5.1 (25F80).

Unfortunately, Apple’s inconsistent KDK naming scheme causes OCLP to currently select Kernel Debug Kit 26.5.1 build 25F5042g (macOS 26.5 beta 1) as the closest match for macOS 26.5.1 instead of Kernel Debug Kit 26.5 build 25F71 from the final macOS 26.5 release.

My BCM943602CDP continues to perform amazingly with OCLP. Modern Audio, modern Wi-Fi, AirDrop, AirPlay, Screen Mirroring, Personal Hotspot, Continuity Camera and sleep/wake are all working flawlessly under macOS 26.5.1.

Customised Icons continue working flawlessly.

As a next step, I will do extensive troubleshooting of my Intel AX210 (Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3) and my new Intel BE200 (Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4). Further information will follow as soon as possible. Stay tuned! 🙂

@kgp

Enjoy the new power supply.
Is German translation not working in About This Hack? Or do you have it in English on purpose? Or macOS is in English, right?

@miliuco , German translation in "About This Hack" is working flawlessly.

However, I intentionally keep my entire system in English because it makes sharing screenshots, guides and troubleshooting results with the community much easier.

In addition, during my years working as an astrophysicist, I was accustomed to doing virtually all of my scientific work in English. Programming languages, terminal commands, technical documentation, scientific publications, conference talks and most scientific software are in English anyway, so using an English operating system feels much more natural to me.

After so many years, I am completely used to an English macOS. I suspect I would be totally lost if I switched everything to German now. :hysterical:

Hackintosh: Version 26.5 installed.
I'm trying to install version 26.5.1 and the message appears:
Failed to prepare software update. Try again.

Try again.
Sometimes the version offered for installation appears with a size smaller than 1GB and sometimes it appears with a size of 18.27GB.
Any advice, please?

Hackintosh : Version 26.5 installée.
J'essaie d'installer la version 26.5.1 et le message suivant s'affiche :
Échec de la préparation de la mise à jour logicielle. Veuillez réessayer.

Essayer à nouveau.
Parfois, la version proposée à l'installation apparaît avec une taille inférieure à 1 Go et parfois avec une taille de 18,27 Go.
Auriez-vous des conseils à me donner ?

Without your config.plist file, difficult to respond .

It looks like you used OCLP.

If you are using OCLP, you will need to revert your root patches before updating.

Kernel Debug Kit 26.5.1 build 25F80 is now available directly from Apple, although it has not yet appeared on the Dortania KDK mirror.

Users running macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 (25F80) can download and install the KDK manually from Apple.

Once installed, OCLP will automatically detect and use the matching Kernel Debug Kit 26.5.1 build 25F80 instead of the closest-match Kernel Debug Kit 26.5.1 build 25F5042g (26.5 beta 1) during the root patching process.

It looks like it is there now.  https://github.com/dortania/KdkSupportPkg/releases/tag/25F80
