I installed JaS 10.4.6, then updated to JaS 10.4.8 Beta 9 SSE2 update (with the 8.8.1 kernel).

I installed Natit (the nVidia kext installer thing) and in System Profiler it shows the correct card, but no Quartz Extreme or Core Image.

I have:

GeForce FX5200 128MB (made by PMY), 2.56GHz Intel P4 SSE2.

How can I get video support and resolution/refresh rate changing?

Also, am I using the correct 10.4.8/8.8.1 kernel for SSE2?

~thanks, and sorry for all the newbie questions :)

Hi nylock10

Welcome on board

You need Titan.kext or Natit.kext in your System/Library/Extensions/ Directory

( All Kernel Extension are store there. )

Before the GeForce.kext and others can work so you can get Core Image or Quartz Extreme for your Video

If you want the Titan.kext and instructions go to this link

Good Luck

Great news!

I used JaS.10.4.8.Intel.SSE2.SemtheX.Beta to update from 10.4.6 JaS and then replaced the mach_kernel file in Macintosh HD with the latest one from Semthex and 10.4.8 works :)

But now, if I download the Natit installer, will I be able to get QE/CI support? I heard something about SSE2 users need to get the 10.4.8 OpenGL.Framework thing, but when I used Pacifist to try to extract that file, it wasn't in the Apple 10.4.8 update package! Just some files saying stuff like "Archieve" and other things.

I have an Intel iMac, should I get the 10.4.8 OpenGL Framework from it and copy and paste it on my Hackintosh, will that enable video support?

Sorry for all the questions, I can't wait to get video support :o
