gossamer Posted August 29, 2025 Share Posted August 29, 2025 (edited) Hey everyone! I’m brand new here and just wanted to say hi before I dive into the world of Hackintosh builds. I’ve always used Macs, but recently decided to try building my own system for video editing (Final Cut Pro mostly) without breaking the bank. I’ve been reading a ton, but still feel a bit overwhelmed with all the compatibility details. I’m thinking of going with an Intel i7 9700K + Z390 board and maybe a used RX 580 to start. Any advice from seasoned builders? Things you wish you knew when you were starting out? I’m especially curious about BIOS tweaks and which kexts are must-haves. Thanks in advance—and excited to be part of the geometry dash community!
