Implement3463
Specs: Motherboard: GIGABYTE H110M-S2-CF (BIOS F27b - 07/31/2024) Chipset: Intel H110 (Skylake PCH-H) CPU: Intel Core i3-7100 (Kaby Lake, LGA1151) iGPU: Intel HD Graphics 630 (Kaby Lake GT2) RAM: 8GB DDR4 2400 MT/s Ethernet: Realtek RTL8111 macOS Version: (Please specify your macOS version – e.g., Ventura, Monterey, etc.) ✅ What's Working: Boots into macOS successfully Graphics acceleration with Intel HD 630 (please confirm if QE/CI is enabled) RAM and basic system features are functional ❌ Issues I'm Facing: Ethernet Port Not Working (Realtek RTL8111): The system doesn’t recognize the Ethernet port. I believe this is due to missing or incorrect kexts. I tried using RealtekRTL8111.kext but it doesn’t seem to load. I’ll share my kext list and EFI below. System Language Stuck in Chinese: Everything shows up in Chinese—even after selecting English during install. System UI, recovery options, etc., are all in Chinese. I’m not sure where this setting is locked or how to change it after installation. 🔧 Troubleshooting Done: Checked config.plist language and localization settings (not sure if it's correctly configured) Tried different Realtek kexts but might be placing them incorrectly Verified BIOS settings (VT-d, CFG-Lock, XHCI Handoff, Secure Boot, etc.) 📁 Files I Will Provide: Images of Kexts Folder EFI Folder Tree Structure here. Changing System Language to English – Is this a config.plist issue, or do I need to reinstall macOS? Because even after changing region and keyboard language, I am still seeing Chinese Thanks in advance to the community! eSaF
Hi, for your Ethernet insure your USB Ports are mapped correctly and Ethernet.kext is the latest version You need to correct the Language Entry in your config.plist to obtain the English Language as shown. After making any changes, reboot clean/clear NVRAM and all should be well. Good luck. Cheers. PS - Compress and zip the EFI Folder and Upload here so that we can make any corrections for you. Anto65
@Implement3463 It will be a bit difficult to navigate in Chinese. Since you have it installed to avoid reinstalling it from scratch with the suggestions provided by eSaF , try choosing your language from here Spoiler Edited May 20 by Anto65 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361074-help-hackintosh-gigabyte-h110m-s2-cf-i3-7100-ethernet-not-working-chinese-language-issue/#findComment-2832434 Share on other sites

The revised EFI Folder here contains the corrections, you'll need to boot off it after clearing NVRAM in Boot Menu. The result will be in the English Language so that problem will be solved. You'll have to let us know if Ethernet problem is also solved. Good luck. miliuco
@Implement3463 You can set the Opencor language as instructed in the config file. However, the macOS language has nothing to do with Opencor. If system settings don't work, try the command I mentioned. sudo languagesetup 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361074-help-hackintosh-gigabyte-h110m-s2-cf-i3-7100-ethernet-not-working-chinese-language-issue/#findComment-2832471 Share on other sites

eSaF
The Ethernet is working because I used a previous version. As I understand it, there is a bug with the latest version (I think). To fix the Language problem, follow the tip offered by @miliuco to see if it can be solved. Otherwise, consult the Dortania Guide to correct the problem. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361074-help-hackintosh-gigabyte-h110m-s2-cf-i3-7100-ethernet-not-working-chinese-language-issue/#findComment-2832477 Share on other sites

Hi, if you still have your install USB Drive, delete the EFI Folder from the EFI Partition and replace it with this revised one (attached). I have fixed the problem of Hardware Acceleration and the problem of wrong Language. Boot off the USB Drive and see if the results are favorable, if they are but the Language is still showing Chinese, I recommend doing a Fresh Install. That would definitely solve the problem once and for all. Hassan Bhatti
You've made solid progress getting macOS running on this setup—nice work! The Realtek RTL8111 issue is a common hurdle; double-check that you're using the latest RealtekRTL8111.kext (v2.5.0 or later) and placing it in both EFI > OC > Kexts and properly loading it via your config.plist. As for the language problem, it likely stems from either an NVRAM setting or misconfigured config.plist entries under SystemLanguage or boot-args. A reinstall isn't always necessary—try resetting NVRAM first and then editing config.plist. You're close! 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361074-help-hackintosh-gigabyte-h110m-s2-cf-i3-7100-ethernet-not-working-chinese-language-issue/#findComment-2832541 Share on other sites
