Hello
I have asus x555li laptop
Laptop specifications:

CPU: Intel Core i5-5200U 2.2ghz up to 2.7ghz
RAM: 8Gb DDR3
dGraphic: AMD Radeon R5 M320 2GB
iGraphic: Intel HD Graphics 5500 2GB
1TB HDD
128GB SSD WB

My upgrade in this laptop: I put the ssd instead of the optical drive, I added it myself, and I removed the 2 GB RAM from the back of the laptop and replaced it with 4 GB.
It has two RAM slots:
1- There is a 4 GB RAM on the laptop board with the following specifications:

Memory Slots:
  ECC: Disabled
  Upgradeable Memory: Yes

BANK 0/ChannelA-DIMM0:

  Size: 4 GB
  Type: DDR3
  Speed: 1600 MHz
  Status: OK
  Manufacturer: Hynix/Hyundai
  Part Number: -
  Serial Number: -

2- I also changed the small door on the back of the laptop to 4:

BANK 2/ChannelB-DIMM0:

  Size: 4 GB
  Type: DDR3
  Speed: 1600 MHz
  Status: OK
  Manufacturer: Samsung
  Part Number: M471B5173EB0-YK0
  Serial Number: 968111FE

My question is, can I open the back door, remove the 4 GB RAM and buy an 8 GB RAM and put it in the RAM slot so that the total RAM becomes 12 GB?
like this :
On the laptop board: 4 GB
On the RAM slot behind the laptop: 8 GB

Does this mean it will affect my Hackintosh Mojave?
Thank you, can you tell me whether it is possible to upgrade the total RAM of the laptop to 12 or not?

The best thing to do is check on the manufacturer's website. My Asus says it supports a maximum of 16gb of DDR4, but I'm using 20gb DDR4 3200mhz and I've never had any problems.

The Crucial website says it supports 8GB only

You know that there are several models of this laptop
Now, do you mean that I can remove the 4 GB RAM slot on the back of the laptop and buy 8 GB and use it? it's true?

A total of 12 GB of RAM with RAM on the laptop board?

The manufacturer's website says that you should check it too
Does this mean that I can upgrade the slot on the back of the laptop to 8 GB? And can it be opened with 12 GB in total?

Memory
DDR3L 1600 MHz SDRAM, 1 x DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 GB SDRAM
