MaLd0n
The best thing to do is check on the manufacturer's website. My Asus says it supports a maximum of 16gb of DDR4, but I'm using 20gb DDR4 3200mhz and I've never had any problems. The Crucial website says it supports 8GB only https://br.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/asus/x555li 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359726-questions-about-asus-laptop-ram-upgrade/#findComment-2823221 Share on other sites

A total of 12 GB of RAM with RAM on the laptop board? The manufacturer's website says that you should check it too Does this mean that I can upgrade the slot on the back of the laptop to 8 GB? And can it be opened with 12 GB in total?
