Davesworld
With the installed wireless card not working at all on my Dell, I went about finding another 'wireless' solution that would work. What I found was that my LG CU500 phone on the Cingular network using GPRS and a wireless internet package got me much closer to the wireless solution I was looking for. Below is the link to another Mac site describing the process, in which my phone is attached thru Bluetooth and then set up to be a modem. Page 4 of the forum topic specifically explains how to hook the phone up to the Cingular network. http://forums.macnn.com/57/peripherals/257...ring-macintosh/ It is not the ideal solution, but it is much closer.
