Hey everyone I'm knew to this stuff and forum and I have exhausted myself for the past few days trying to install my Mac osx86 image (jas 10.4.7). I've tried the vmware way and it was difficult. I then decided to burn the iso to DVD then run it through vmware.

I was excited to see everything start installing (4 hours though)....I woke up the next morning and saw a LONG list of errors.

I rebooted my computer and it went to windows xp and I installed Acronis OS selector which totally f-ed my computer over.

I booted from my drive which I installed mac osx and it starts at the black terminal screen and starts listing things that are failing (USB...etc...cannot find this...etc) and at the end the screen goes crazy and i get a static signal on my monitor kind of like wen u turn to a channel on your television that gets no reception.

Even worse, wen i try to bootup my windows xp, it gets to the loading screen then the computer resets and does the thing over and over and over.

I still have not given up. I have the jas 10.4.7 iso burned to a DVD so I try installing it that way now. (I choose boot from CD at boot screen)I get to the first aqua screen where it asks me to select my language. I get excited agian but guess what, my mouse and keyboard don't work so I can't select anything.

I admit I'm a newb, but I've read threads and threads and threads and I can't figure out this problem. To make things worse, so many ppl post on this thread without even trying anything first so a lot of the threads and polluted with {censored}.

I apologize if I don't seem to be trying hard enough, but I think I've gotten pretty far (the first time I managed to install the damn thing through vmmware, but then when i tried to boot it, it gave me all those errors and static screen). It looks like just trying to install it straight up from the DVD is going to work....I just need to find a way to get my mouse and keyboard to work?

any help would be awesome...thanks!

p.s. i have all compatible harddware and correct hard drives.
