Hi at all,

I just DL'd the demo of Traktor DJ Studio 3.2 UB (now just renamed Traktor 3).

So I installed, tried to configure it on a hackintosh but I get no sound.

(Realtek onboard, works in system and Logic)

On the MBP it works perfectly.

I configured Standard Output in SysPrefs, tried 2 channel and 6 channel,

but in the Audio Properties of Traktor 3 it shows up 2 normal devices, and 2 sp-dif ones.

Well, so I tried both of the normal devices, but no channels were available.

Am I using the wrong audio kext? (Cuz in Logic makes no probs)

Are some users of you experiencing the same problem?

Looking forward to an answer of you. ;)

I'm having the exact same problem, but I got a C-media something internal soundcard with my ASUS P4C-800-E Deluxe motherboard.

Just don't get it, sound is fine with iTunes and all other apps, but somehow Traktor is just not finding any attached speakers or headphones.

Here's a screenshot:

If there's anybody who got Traktor 3 working with an internal soundcard, I would be more then interested!!

Hi again, I figured out that traktor 3 (the old PPC one) finds the soundcard and can playback... well, stutter.

So maybe it's a restriction from NI? Hmm... will keep you informed, if I know more.

Well I made a PPC version of the 'new' universal traktor 3, with: ditto -arch PPC.

But it doesn't find the soundcard......

Maybe you can also try to make a PPC version and report back.

Hi again.

Finally I found a working solution. :)

I think the problem is that TDJS 3 setup makes this virtual port like it should, but because we all have an SP-DIF output, the setup routine configures the new virtual output to the SP-DIF instead to route it to the PCM device. Maybe the Setup is fault, or any internal number given by the driver to the audio devices.

Well, here is the solution how to add a Virtual output:

Open Finder. Go into "Utilities" and double-click the "Audio MIDI Setup" icon.

In the menu choose "Audio" and "Open Aggregate Device Editor".

There you'll find 2 lists. Aggregated Devices and the real ones.

Click on "+" to create a new virtual. Choose a name, and your PCM output device (it's the one where a number greater than 0 is shown is the "Out"-row).

Just press done and close the program.

(Btw. You cannot set any preferences for the virtual device but you also don't need to.)

Last step, open up TDJS 3 and choose the new virtual device in the audio settings.

Set your channels and now let's rock and spin the turntables. :(

PS: Please excuse my bad english, but I've been making party and I drank a bit too much alcohol, but without I wouldn't be able to present you a solution. ;)

Is there a way to get the Scratchamp to work??

I have up on runnin Traktor 3.2 on the OSX system. No Problems with the AC97 soundcard.

Also i´ll get the Scratchamp over Firewire to work, but when i choose it

on Traktor 3.2 the System Crashes down.

I have it all running on my Notebook

Intel Centrino 1.7, 1 GB Ram, ATI X700 and OSX 10.4.3 with Whesley Patch.

Any ideas???? Or is there a problem with the OS, is the Marklar Patch better then Whesley???

Please help, i hate to work on the WINXP platform, it sucks because no SoundFlower support.
