I get that we're all perfectionists here, but even this seems a bit far

'Perfectionists' - Is the keyword, I can't speak for others but for me it's like having an uncontrollable urge to relieve an itch that is in an embarrassing  body area but it is inappropriate to do so because of where you are and whom you're with. :hysterical:

I’m with you but I describe it as if it was working and should work IT SHOULD WORK DAMMIT lol

I'm thinking maybe we're close to gold code?

If that is the case my friend, to coincide with Monday's event the software department has a lot of work to do because this Beta is no where near ready.......... But we will see.

Hello !!

For my part, with Clover r5140,1 and SMBIOS iMacPro 1,1, I had to use this procedure for the update to beta 10 :

1 ° The RestrictsEvents kext and its bootarg -revsbvmm (to get the update proposal)
2 ° Use ExtendedFirmwares 0x8 ---------- (to proceed with the update)

With SMBIOS 17,1 and 19,1 only the second.

It seems that with MacBookPro SMBIOS only Clover r5140,1 is necessary without further modification (to be confirmed)

After beta10 update my bluetooth refuses to turn on. Any ideas, I'm running OC 0.7.4

Have a look in 'System Report/Hardware/Bluetooth' and see if 'State' is On. If it is not it is not being initialised.

I sympathise...I've just upgraded to beta 10 and have exactly the same issue. Here's my system report on Bluetooth. It says state is off. Everything was working perfectly with beta 9 :(68985359_Screenshot2021-10-15at12_57_59.thumb.png.e7d6f90c2b42ec68b4af18f8300fcb11.png

It works now thanks to: https://github.com/acidanthera/BrcmPatchRAM/pull/16
It is up to you if you use this kext, since the devs doesn't implemented it yet.

BlueToolFixup.kext.zip 9.75 kB · 2 downloads

Thanks Stefanalmare. I'll try this and report back

***UPDATE***

New kext works for me too :D Many thanks.

Just to be clear, are you saying BrcmFirmwareData.kext and BrcmPatchRAM*.kext are no longer needed?

Exactly for USB transport Dongle compatible

Thanks, seems to be working with the new bluetoolfix.kext posted below but I can connect to my LG TV via bluetooth but not my iPhone 12. I get an error on the iPhone the Mac Pro is not supported but it connects fine in Big Sur to iPhone. Same EFI using smbios 7.1

What about for Wifi / Bluetooth cards like in a laptop? Do they still require more than one kext?
Does this update to the kext bring back the Bluetooth pan network?
