@5T33Z0 and everyone with an onboard i225-V LAN implementation hosted by an Intel Z490 chipset.

After upgrading my test setup from Monterey beta 3 to beta 4, the i225-V connection problems persist, however with a variation. Manually setting the network speed to 100baseTX renders onboard networking usable and, as it seems, reliable as well. When I then increase the speed to 1000baseT it only works for a short time, whereafter networking becomes unresponsive and thus unusable.

In my OC 0.7.1 config file the only parameter used to enable the i225-V is the boot argument  dk.e1000=0, which I also use in Big Sur, where it works flawlessly.

Another observation is that an ASIX AX88179 Gigabit USB adapter fails to load under Monterey whereas this unit works flawlessly, under Big Sur, using ASIX's latest DEXT driver.

Keen to learn from others what headway they have made in their attempts in getting the i225-V network adapter working properly under Monterey.

Greetings Henties

No dice after Big Sur 11.2.3 started my bluetooth problems with the Wifi / bluetooth cards that I own, an Fenvi T-919 of Fenvi store, but it is bad I always had problems with it, I had an AWB with and BCM943602CS combo card and that is good very good, but after sometime the wires that make the connection with the card broke I bought another adapter for that card but it never worked as before. After that I bought an BCM94360NG but for that I have to disassemble all my hack... so I bought the MQUPIN Fenvi and it works well in clover, not in OC I don't know why... if I change the EFI from my Monterey partition from clover to OC I loose right away my bluetooth icon in system preferences...

It happens to me like @eSaF, I have Fenvi T919 working well OOTB from High Sierra to Monterey, I don't know why yours does not work well.

After some more testing, it seems that we can use our second Mac as a WIFI display. Mirroring or as separate screen is possible.

To me audio makes more sense, since I can use the speakers which are connected only to the main computer, while the NUC which has only an headphone connector.

I download the update and it goes through the motions of updating. Downloads, installs, restarts, continues to update with apple logo and countdown. Then takes me to setup assistant, I go though that and when I get to my desktop it's not updated and asks me to update to beta 4. I have oc 0.7.2, sip enabled, the latest essential kexts and tried using secure boot model disabled and legacy settings. I saved the settings and rebooted, re-downloaded and tried reinstalling and the same result each time. The previous updated worked this way.

Hi @miliuco,

I want to know why too, but until now I don't know how is possible that with OC after a successful install I don't have the bluetooth icon in my system preferences, it seems that something is blocking bluetooth, what I don't know... yet...

My friend I have just joined your club of frustration with the T-919 Card. Under the last Beta the card was flawless with this latest update all was working as before B/T and WIFI now this morning both are reporting not installed/not functioning. In BS only B/T is working, I need to check in Catalina but forgot the entry data for min date version as only BS and Monterey are showing up at Boot Menu. I am here trying to overcome the glitches associated with this latest update, I thought this update was too good to be true on my rig. :frantics:

Wow!!! What a strange thing. @MorenoAv has transmitted the disease of his Fenvi to yours.

Now seriously. I have beta 4 and everything seems to work as before. BT and WIFI.

Deleting /Library/Preferences/com.apple.bluetooth.plist fixes something?
Deleting /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist and com.apple.airport.preferences.plist.backup fixes something?

These are the mindate and minversion values to try the FENVI in Catalina:
Mindate = 20200306 and Minversion = 1412101001000000 is for Catalina 10.15.4 (19E287).

  1. Black Screen on reboot -> use bootarg "-lilubetaall" (thanks to antuneddu)
  2. 'Til devs update WEG & Lilu, use -wegbeta boot arg to avoid KP on wake on SKL Laptops (thanks to Hervé)

Just to avoid confusions. The boot-arg -lilubetaall doesn't fix a black screen or kernel panics, it only enables all Lilu plugins on not supported macOS versions. This activates WEG which fixes the black screen.

Do PCIe gen4 ssds work with macOS? I’m considering getting one.
This one to be precise: Gigabyte AORUS 7000s Gen4x4 M.2 2280 SSD 1TB

Maybe, I think. Because there are some configs :  Samsung 980 Pros (both PCIe 4.0) and Gigabyte Z590.  🙂

Anyone tried to make bootable backup of fresh update to Monterey beta 4 using SuperDuper v3.5 beta3?

Did anyone get a failure message indicating the seal was broken?

This was not a problem with a beta 3 fresh update.

073021 Update on this issue.

On a fresh install, while rebooting, noticed verbose message indicating snapshot cleanup.

Apparently there is some process that runs to do this while booting.

After this ran, was able to make backup with SuperDuper v3.5  beta3.

Take away is if there are issues with SuperDuper after clean update, then reboot a number of times to make sure everything is finished before making backup.

As far as I can tell mine is still Sealed...

Mine says it's broken in the disk but not in the snapshot (although all seems to work properly). What does it mean? You have both sealed.

@HenryV this is without using Super Duper beta 3.

Here we go again!!! - Ive run into the reboot cycle again just like in Beta2 even though SecureBootModel is set to Disabled, all kexts up to date and OC version is 0.7.2 so wondering what to try next to get the update to finish. :wallbash:

Just incase, Volume still sealed and csr-active-config is also fully enabled.

I have the same issue. I don't have TPM available in my bios. What other suggestions might there be?
