Hi im new here so sorry if this is not an appropriate thread.

I play wow on my macbook, and just recently started playing around with applescript. I have no background in computers but i use them daily. my question is is there a way to make applescript record inside an application? I can turn it on to record me going into finder, then openning wow, but that is where it seems to stop. i am not going to lie, i am trying to make a script from applscript to grind mobs for me in the game, while being at the desk gettign some work done. any help would be greatly appreciate.

I don't believe you can get Applescript to work inside of programs that do not have a backend for it implemented (like Finder and other Apple apps). So as much fun as it would be to have an automated goon, it's just not possible through Applescript.

dang that was quick. thanks for the reply very much appreciated, there goes my new excitement of finding out about applescript haha. is this the same reason why automator doesn'thave many programs listed in it besides finder etc? if not, could i automator work within a program?
