Hello everybody!

I've just installed 10.4.7 into an uniwill m31 (http://www.uniwill.com/products/mobility/m31ei1/m31ei1.php?HL=3&M=3)

which has an ALC861, i followed this guide : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642

to make it work.

Once rebooted, the sound card is recognized with no volume control and no line in as it was supposed to happen. But has happened in linux, i had no sound from speakers or hedphones, Alsa-proyect, found out that it was a bad pin configuration, not 3-stack or 6 stack conf, but one diferent, the alsa bug-tracker solved the problem, (bug nº 2035, https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2035)

I was guessing if there's any way to solve what i think is the same problem in mac, (as in linux, when i try to play any audio, i don't get any error, but it just doesent sounds), in the bug track is the patch to make alsa work and the pin config.

I'd apreciate any help,

Pd: Everything else (except wifi (intel 3945)) with intel MGA900 patch works great, perfect resolution, graphic card, gigabit ethernet, ect.

Pd2: since i've installed mac i'm thinking in buyin one

It won't work with ervey laptop model, nor over 10.4.8 or higher.

That's probably it.

But no one in OSX86 project was able to fix it

Yes, i remember having the same problem with Linux and Alsa drivers, Ubunty Edgy, no sound at all, but it was fixed months later. With Ubuntu Feisty it works right.

It seems that with OSX86 and appleazalia we get the same symptoms, audiocard is setup but no sound.

Asus model F3Jc here. I have tried everything avaliable about OSX86 audio to get it working without any luck.

I hope that a fix will be avaliable soon,

Maybe just hope won't cut it. What we need is someone with programer skills that owns a F3Jc with ALC660/861 and willing to INVEST some time to make a working driver.

That's all

I am soooooooooo saaaaad!!!!!
