hohoho
I am trying to migrate to opencore so that i can boot the MacOS Big Sur update from my current Catalina. I followed a guide to make a config.plist for opencore but when i try it, it doesn't seem to be booting. it is just stuck at the beginning. any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance! working clover EFI in catalina.zip here is what it looks like when i try to boot it. it does not continue from there even if i wait for it. [update] i was able to fix the 1st problem by disabling this quirk from opencore: RebuildAppleMemoryMap = FALSE . but i have a new problem. opencore is still not booting completely. it stops and seemingly freezes at com.AppleFSCompressionTypeData and does not continue from there. [update] i was able to fix the above problem with boot flag: npci=0x3000 ..my only problem now is the update to Big Sur is giving the Stop Sign error and not continuing to the update from Catalina. Thanks in advance! [update] the guys at the pre-release Big Sur helped me with my OC. I was able to install and boot Big Sur now.
