Greetings,

 

Issue:

 

Applied VRAM size increase from 512 to 1024 as stated in Catalina using AppleIntelHD3000Graphics and AppleIntelSNBGraphics

 

After applying the VRAMSize statement to the AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext no console black to login. Unable to get console.

apfs applied SSD.

 

Installed onto SSD using dosdude1 patcher.

1 The USB installer will not allow me to reinstall. Hangs  used it to install and then use the patcher to patch.

2 Cannot get into console.

3 Using Opencore 6.0.

 

Methods tried: used USB installer of Sierra, mojave, high sierra.  Only Sierra gets me to installer.

Tried to copy a fresh copy of AppleIntelHD3000Graphics and AppleIntelSNBGracphics kexts to 

/dev/disk1s6 < Volume of Catalina

 

/sbin/mount -uw / 

/sbin/mount -uw /Volume/Catalina

 

df shows them mounted and when coping files over cp -rf but does not copy.

Able to cd to directories to make changes to names > .bak to the end of the kext.

 

What am I not doing correctly?  What are the necessary steps? Or is this impossible?

 

Tried to change the config.plist framebuffer statements. after making necessary changes, used f2 to save, f3 to exit. Upon reboot, OC complained

and would not allow to get back in. 

 

What can be done to properly copy the necessary kexts to /S/L/E  on Volume Catatlina?
