pilo2300
Hi, I'm receiving these two errors before the system automatically reboots. 36:296 00:063 OCSMC: SmcReadValue Key 4D535463 Size 1 36:351 00:054 OCSMC: SmcReadValue Key 4D534163 Size 2 Using OpenCore 0.5.7, Mojave 10.14.6 installed successfully (from USB, but have not gone through OS setup ie. 'select your country' screen yet) but now selecting the Mojave drive in the boot picker results in the above error. Hardware is Gigabyte H77-DS3H, Core i7 3770 (Ivy Bridge), Radeon Sapphire RX 580 Pulse, 16GB DDR3 ram. I had a fully working 10.14.4 install running OC 0.5.6 prior to this. OpenCore log and config.plist (with SMBIOS serials etc removed) attached - any help greatly appreciated. Thank you. opencore-2020-04-08-000853.txt config.plist Edited April 8, 2020 by pilo2300 clarity on Mojave installation
KrazyKiwi
Try setting RebuildAppleMemoryMap to False. The documentation says you should either have EnableWriteUnprotector enabled or RebuildAppleMemoryMap+SyncRuntimePermissions enabled, but not both at the same time. I've only had success with EnableWriteUnprotector enabled and RebuildAppleMemoryMap+SyncRuntimePermissions disabled.
pilo2300
Thanks - I tried both combinations you mentioned and am still receiving the same error. Wiping everything and starting from scratch today - will see how it goes.
pilo2300
Turns out it was a dodgy SSD. I did a fresh installation of Mojave 10.14.6 to a brand new Samsung EVO SSD and booting with both OC 0.5.7 and 0.5.6 works flawlessly. Hopefully this may help others experiencing the same problem.
