Wizkid4590
The first problem is about with my graphics card (NV 6200) I only can use the 1024x768 resolution but I need 1440x900! I tried the Macvidia driver but when I install it and reboot my computer my monitor said ''out of range''! The second problem is about my audio; I've got 2 soundcards in my computer the (onboard) Avance AC97 (ACL 650) and the Sweex 5.1 sound card but non of them works! (I tried the drivers from the wiki) Anyone has a solution for these problems? thanks in avance!
ratbert
Don't use the macvidia drivers right now, they are pretty outdated. I had major problems with drivers, but the one combo I found that worked was the Natit autoinstaller + the new Natit kext file. This enabled QE/CI for me. As for your other problem, disable the onboard in the BIOS.
Rammjet
The solutions depend upon whether you are running the new or old kernel under 10.4.8. If running the new kernel, then Natit is the way to go for Nvidia graphics card. But the software update that comes from running the new kernel may have a problem with the Sweex drivers from the Wiki. You will just have to disable the onboard sound as suggested and try it. If it doesn't, there is a sound solution based on Natit for ALC sound systems: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=32859 If running the old kernel, Macvidia is the only solution for graphics, but disabling the onboard audio should get Sweex working.
