so i've been working on getting high sierra running on my 7700k build and followed this guide

https://www.elitemacx86.com/threads/guide-msi-z270-gaming-pro-carbon-i7-8700k-16gb-ram-gtx-1080ti.131/

i got the installer booted and installed the os and tried to boot into the os but i keep getting stuck.

lets first start off with my full system specs

motherboard is a msi z270 gaming m7

with a core i7 7700k cpu

with 32 gb of ddr4 ram

a gtx 1070 (hence why high sierra)

install drive is a 1tb hdd

first weird issue is i get a alloc type 2 error randomly right after clover.

rebooting a few times and it wil continue loading up (see screenshots)

the second issue is it gets stuck on service exited abnormally with code 1 and some other stuff.

i tried disabling my nvidia gpu and using my igpu as boot but that didnt change the result..

i have never come this far with this machine before and the following errors are also new for me.

what should i do now?

ok update. i found a guide for a older gen of my motherboard (z170 based) and added a few of the recommended kexts and UEFI drivers

and it finally booted!

its now working on finishing the installation..

but the weird alloc type 2 error still remains.

i read somewhere that it is cause by having SIP enabled but i double checked and it it set to disabled in CC..

thank you in advance
