here you go buddy, it’s got wizemans name on it but its the new EFI for him to test.

Wizeman EFI.zip

switch the dsdt inside this EFI for your RX 580 one and remove agdpmod=pikera from the boot arguments.

new DSDTs ain’t ready yet so this is for bios F11 only

If you don't mind could you please clarify what DSDT.aml needs to be replaced with what?  From your older EFI?  by the way I removed the agdpmod line as you instructed.  Anything else needs to be changed if I want to go with iMacPro1,1?

Replace DSDT.AML with this one.

If your using a RX Polaris Series GPU with bios revision F11 then use this DSDT

DSDT.RX Series.zip   (TO BE USED WITH BIOS REVISION F11 ONLY)

Also replace shikigva=80 with shikigva=32 and add another boot flag:

shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94

This will get you AppleTV(+) working with RX580 and Safari will not crash on other DRM streams like Netflix and Prime Video. They will not work (DRM on Safari does not work with RX580 and generally Polaris Cards for the time being) but at least they won’t hang your hackintosh with Safari.

Unplugged the power cable

pulled out the battery

put the battery back in

with iGPU enabled I can't even boot

from the boot loader, it goes to "error loading kernel cache (0x7) boot failed: will sleep for 10 seconds before exiting"

also tried with iGPU disabled and changed the SMBIOS to iMacPro1,1; but still the same error.

"error loading kernel cache (0x7) boot failed: will sleep for 10 seconds before exiting"

as it’s a test version and not my official release it was done for For somebody specifically so I might of left KernalPM Unchecked so go into the clover config and make sure KernelPM is Enabled if your MSR is locked or Disabled if it’s unlocked.

The same applies. RX570 is a Polaris card

@pkdesign  if you really want the new EFI to test with the new F12d DSDT then I can PM it to you to try out for me if you like?

your need to update the bios too and I haven’t created a MSR Ulocked profile for F12d yet so your have to run it with KernelPM Enabled unless you know how to unlock your MSR yourself? (There’s nothing wrong with running it with your MSR Locked and KernelPM Checked)

let me know if you want to be a tester bee buddy? :startreck:

just unlocked MSR by following the procedure.  KernelPM is unchecked.  rebooted, then from the boot loader still the same error

I wonder what’s happened to your kernel cache?

thats not the EFI Tbh,

have you tried clearing your kernel cache by any chance?

if you haven’t and you don’t know how look it up on here or google as I’m not in front on my hack to send you a link.

one way to clear it though is to boot into safe made and then restart and that clears it automatically.

theres other ways if you can’t get into safe mode though.

found few ways to clear the cache but when my system is complete useless how am I supposed to go into the cmd line?  as I mentioned before my previous Mojave is completely destroyed so there is no way I can't go into safe mode or anyother way of going to the command line to clear the cache; unless there is another way to clear the cache other than going to the command line.

Recovering your EFI is trivial. Just rename your old EFI folder to EFI.old (or whatever). Toss in the new one. Have your UBS installer handy in case it won't boot. If it doesn't work, just boot with your USB installer's EFI and then roll the changes back. You can't really fubar your install just messing with the EFI. It may not boot, but the system itself isn't touched.

The only thing you have to be careful with is the SMBIOS. If you mess that up you're going to break iCloud and coming back from that can be arduous and quite time consuming (mostly because you have to wait on Apple's servers as forcing a sanity check isn't really possible).

It isn't a trivial matter since I'd have to update my BIOS to another version. It isn’t as simple as just an EFI swap.

its not the finished EFI as I have a new DSDT update too for bios F12d,

Its under test now but should go live sometime tomorrow or the day after that at the latest.

I have two question, can I use iMessage with a different account than my iCloud? isn't working right now.

Also, what can I test in my Catalina OS to check if everything is perfect or working fine? some benchmark?

No, iMessage is account bound.

Yes, there are some checks you can use. Synthetic benchmarks don't identify problems. They push the hardware to its limits and report back. If Hackintool reports back that your VDA decoder is fully supported and you see the headless icon, you know your GPU is set up correctly. Sidecar should be working beautifully. Outside of that, if macOS just runs, then you're good. Feel free to dig through system logs and google away lol.

As AG said, don't use 1,1. You should always match your hardware to the closest Mac you can. Like this:

NEW Clover Major EFI and DSDT UPDATE, 15th January 2020 (Use With Bios Revision F12d Only or read below)

Important Notice

This New EFI Contains a brand new DSDT made for for the Z390 Pro Bios Revision F12d ONLY,

If you dont want to update your bios and I personally recommend you do then replace the new DSDT with your old F11 DSDT and then you can continue using the F11 bios with the new EFIs.

The EFI and DSDT has now been updated to the my latest version.

Changes made include,

New DSDT's For bios revision F12d ONLY

OcQuirks Revision 12

Whatevergreen 1.3.6

Lilu 1.4.1

AppleALC-1.4.5

VirtualSMC 1.10

MemoryAllocation.efi now added to the UEFI driver folder to fix failure to boot because of memory allocation failures at start up

Clover Updated too Revision 5103

Plus other minor tweaks to the clover config

I have also now created a HD630 IGPU only version of the EFI so for all you people out there that have been asking me for this your wish is my command. :)

Aorus Z390 Pro Vega Navi VII F12d EFI .zip - Use with Bios revision F12d Only (15/01/2020 Catalina 10.15.2 Vega, Navi (5700, 5700xt), Radeon VII DSDT Installed) SMBios 19,1
Aorus Z390 Pro RX Polaris F12d EFI .zip - Use with Bios revision F12d Only (15/01/2020 Catalina 10.15.2 RX5XX Polaris DSDT Installed) SMBios 19,1

HD630 Z390 Pro F12d EFI.zip Use with Bios revision F12d Only (15/01/2020 Catalina 10.15.2 HD630 IGPU Only) SMBios 18,1

If you prefer using SMBios 1,1 then by all means switch to it but all the old problems of using 19,1 are corrected now with this EFI plus DRM is fully working unless you have a Polaris gpu. Just to add, SMBios 19,1 is the correct one to be using for our chipset and cpu, if you check the spec of a real macpro it is not a using a CoffeeLake CPU or Z3xx chipset. It does work perfectly but correct is correct so 19,1 it is.

Please Note, If you use a 5700 or 5700XT then SMBios 1,1 is unstable using the Navi GPUs so please stick to 19,1 with igpu enabled.

Latest Gigabyte Z390 PRO BIOS (F12d)

3 - Load the profile,

4 - Save and exit

5 - Go straight back into the bios and save your bios to a new profile and name it Default CFG Unlocked or something like that.

6 - Boot back into Catalina go into your clover config and under Kernal and Kext Patches Uncheck KernalPM

Hi,
I've tried your new intel hd profile/EFI but mouse and keyboard are not recognized for me.

Using F12d and the stick has Catalina on it.

Hi, anyone here got those problems like me ? When I click play, the film load nothing, just show blackscreen like this (attached) or when I download an episode to the computer, it shows error (err = -11800)

Anyone here knows a fix ? Maybe a bug or problem from Hackintosh ?

I have put together this simple little guide for anybody wanting to use a Patched DSDT EFI with the same configuration as me.
This is also a thread to discuss everything Z390 Master and try and help where we can and maybe make things a little better for you.

A huge massive thank you to @glasgood @MaLd0n @larabee These three guys have helped me and talked me so much and are as helpful as you could ever get, Without them I wouldn't have a perfect working build like I do or be putting up this Guide & Discussion Thread sharing the hard work and countless hours that we have all put in to this.

This EFI and Patched DSDT have been created to work with a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master using bios revision F10, 9900k with a Vega 56 but has also been tested and verified fully working with the following Hardware

      CPU's
      8600K, 8700K, 9600K, 9700K, 9900K, 9900KS

(If you have success with any different CPU or GPU's then please do let me know)

@glasgood Has kindly put together a new simple Catalina install guide so Just Follow He's Guide For a Perfect Install. (glasgood put the guide together for the Z390 Pro but the two boards are so alike that you can follow this guide with no problems at all using the Z390 Master)

(If you want a perfect setup then getting your own patched DSDT made would be the best thing to do, Mine will work perfectly fine but different hardware no matter how small a change it is can tend to have some sort of effect on the DSDT and your setup)
