has anyone done the update to 10.15.7?

***EDIT: To answer my own question, I did and other than my previous issues(The update installer doesn't like my 5700XT and I have to put in a different card) the update went through fine.

I just did & it works fine, although I can't speak to any updates to how it works with a 5700 XT (as the fruit company meant to address in this update in one of their real compies), because I don't have that graphics card. With the graphics card listed in my .sig below, works as it did (with a game & LuxMark) so far; I'll update if I run into any trouble. WiFi (the other thing the fruit company says it addressed) also seems unchanged, but I mostly used it for Continuity and such, not massive downloads or anything.

No was unaware, I don’t have a K cpu at the moment

So you can’t use hackintosh BIOS settings and then just apply windows applicable overclock settings?

I think at this point no one should be relying on @AudioGod to provide EFI's for our systems. He provided us with an excellent base with basic correct configurations, kexts, SSDTs, and mobo settings, and I for one will always be grateful for that. If you are hackintoshing, you should have some basic level of experience with editing config lists and adding kexts, etc. Every system will be different and you will have to tweak these for your system anyway. For instance, I have a PCI card with my WiFi that has to have specific kexts and configs that are not in AudioGod's EFI.

I also always keep my kexts up to date with Hackintool. I consider this to be an indispensable app. It can do and show you so much.

Not sure about Clover at this point, but with OpenCore (OC), you just need to see what additions or changes have happened since the last version and match that to what you have currently. OC always provides a "Differences.pdf" document and a sample config.plist. OC isn’t changing that dramatically between revisions at this point. They are just making tweaks and fixes for new OSes.

For example. In the update from 060 to 061, I compared my current config.plist with the sample provided with the release to see what changed. You can go line by line with text editor or plist editor like ProperTree, or PListEdit Pro; or with an app like Kaleidoscope or DeltaWalker. There is also an ocvalidate tool that comes with OC. I like to use the Sanity Checker at opencore.slowgeek.com. It quickly shows me what is missing or incorrect. Be aware though! Not everything it says is wrong or incorrect. For instance, it will say:

  • EnableWriteUnprotector = Yes but should normally be No

But that is not true for our specific board. Be smart about your choices and always have a back-up. But it is excellent at telling you what is missing.

Using Sanity Checker I could see the following were missing from my 060 config:

Security

ApECID = 0

DmgLoading = Signed

EnablePassword = No

ProtocolOverrides

AppleImg4Verification = No

AppleSecureBoot = No

So I used PListEdit Pro to add those to my config.

Now in my case once, once made these changes I couldn’t boot and got an error. I asked about that specific error on the OpenCore forum and almost immediately got a response that said I needed to change one setting that was already in my config which I reference in a few posts above that was: Misc/Security/SecureBootModel to "Disabled" not "Default. Again, that was based on my specific situation. So a generic EFI wouldn't have helped me.

Hopefully this will help my fellow AORUS PRO/PRO WiFi users in the future.

Hello,

encouraged by your post I decided to update to OC 6.1 and all other Kexts. I also updated to 10.15.7, and after all this work I have checked and everything seemed to be working properly. Yesterday I turned on my hackintosh and I noticed two things both spotlight and safari are acting strange, they seem to hang with no reason. I tried to troubleshoot it myself, but I have no clue what might be a cause. I checked OC sanity checker, cleared NVRam. Can anyone help me with my problem? Much appreciated!

I have no such issues with spotlight, I can't tell about safari because I'm using Microsoft Edge, but my sleep functionality is completely messed up after the upgrade.

It wakes on random and then kernel panics and reboots, other times I set it to sleep and although it turns the monitors off, the computer still works and you can't bring monitors up again, you have to press reset or keep power button pressed and boot again. :/

Is anyone having time issues with windows? Time works fine on catalina but when I switch to windows its like the time picks back up from where it left off. I did the UTC thing in regedit but still no fix.

Help please :(

1. I checked my Nvidia for details in Windows and get this info:

\_SB.PCI0.PEG1.PEGP

PCIROOT(0)#PCI(0101)#PCI(0000)
ACPI(_SB_)#ACPI(PCI0)#ACPI(PEG1)#ACPI(PEGP)

2. Then I using this github and make this file 'SSDT-NVIDIA.aml' using my details from Windows above (file is attached)

3. At this point I need to add something into the OpenCore 0.6.0 (Root->ACPI->Add..) but I don't do this before and do not know what exactly I need to add.

Can anybody help me to disable Nvidia slot properly, please?

So, for anyone having similar issue, I found the issue and solution. Today I noticed high load caused by accountsd, I googled that issue and I happened to stumble upon that discussion:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251846520?answerId=253525046022#253525046022

And the resolution was to Remove your iCloud Keychain.

SSDT-NVIDIA.aml.zip

In your Opencore config.plist (OC/config.plist), you need to add new entry in the ACPI section for the new file. Originally, your ACPI add section probably looks like this:

		<array>
			<dict>
				<key>Comment</key>
				<string>NVRAM</string>
				<key>Enabled</key>
				<true/>
				<key>Path</key>
				<string>SSDT-PM.aml</string>
			</dict>
			<dict>
				<key>Comment</key>
				<string>PM</string>
				<key>Enabled</key>
				<true/>
				<key>Path</key>
				<string>SSDT-PLUG.aml</string>
			</dict>
		</array>

Just add your additional aml file to this array so it looks like this:

		<array>
			<dict>
				<key>Comment</key>
				<string>NVRAM</string>
				<key>Enabled</key>
				<true/>
				<key>Path</key>
				<string>SSDT-PM.aml</string>
			</dict>
			<dict>
				<key>Comment</key>
				<string>PM</string>
				<key>Enabled</key>
				<true/>
				<key>Path</key>
				<string>SSDT-PLUG.aml</string>
			</dict>
			<dict>
				<key>Comment</key>
				<string>DISABLE NVIDIA</string>
				<key>Enabled</key>
				<true/>
				<key>Path</key>
				<string>SSDT-NVIDIA.aml</string>
			</dict>
		</array>

Just make sure that new file is unzipped (should have .aml extension) and put it in your OC/ACPI folder with the other .aml files.

Yep, the same issue. Using sync time manually every time as booting Windows.

Thank you!!!!

I’ll try it tomorrow.

UPD: Looks like Nvidia is gone now! Unfortunately sleep works strange, it's wake up immediately after put to sleep machine.

@cyrdroidyes I use hackingtool. I also had high cpu load from accountsd, I just let it do its thing while I went away and then I had no issues but eventually I went back to previous OC version because sleep is not working at all.

I saved the new OC EFI that I had just to see what difference there will be when audiogod or anyone else posts a working efi, that way next time I will know where to check.

I had no issue when I was in the OS, the problem was that when I put the computer to sleep the monitors turn off but the computer continue working and is not going to sleep. The worst is that you can't return back to the OS for a proper shutdown, you have to power off or reset the computer.

For me it wasn't a random occasion, it was everytime I tried to put the computer to sleep so that was the reason of downgrading to previous OC version.

I'm having an issue where I can't login to facebook. I'm running the opencore Audiogod 19,1 latest build and it has been rock solid in productivity. I am able to run Premiere, FCPX, Resolve, perfectly. I can watch Netflix through a browser, and I can even login to Instagram. I have never been able to login to Facebook though. Not matter if I use Chrome or Safari. Everytime I attempt to sign in, it hangs for a while, then says "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can." This has been going on for 3 days. I only recently fully switched over to my Hackintosh so I never tried to sign into Facebook previously. I can however log in through my Macbook and my old iMac without a problem. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

After reading a few things on OpenCore website I managed to fix sleep issue with v0.6.1

I upload my EFI here, but be advised, I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable as most of the people here in regards to OpenCore (or Clover), so while the EFI I made may work for me, it may not be a good EFI both for me but you as well.

If you consider yourself knowledgeable enough on this area, and if you want to spend a few minutes checking my EFI, please let me know what dump things I may have done :D (even if it works for me fine - so far)

Two of the guides that I couldn't follow is this and that.

for the first one, I don't have Windows and as I understood it is required to follow the guide.

On the second one it says:

Quote

To find the USB Controller that needs fixing, search for _PRW in your DSDT and see what Device is mentioned within it, generally this will be something like SB.PCI0.XHC.

but I don't know how to find the USB Controller that needs fixing in the first place...

PS: You have been advised, use this EFI on your own risk

I'm not sure how that could be related to hackintosh (I mean browser login, not actually account in your system preferences), but it is highly likely I may be missing something here.

Have you tried to troubleshoot it? You mentioned you tried with Chrome and Safari, I assume those two browsers are been used by you frequently, could you try another browser that you haven't use at all? Like Firefox, Opera, Microsoft Edge? (btw I switched 100% to MS Edge for over a year and and I love it).

Also, could you try enabling guest account and try to login from there to make sure it is not an account-wide issue?

If you manage to login with a browser other than Safari and Chrome, then have a look at your browser plugins, one or many plugins you have could be the source of the issue (also try to clear caches).

If you cannot login with any browser but you can login via guest account, then you might have an app running for your user (like AdGuard maybe) that for some reason preventing your login process. (btw I use AdGuard everywhere without any issue, but I'm just saying).

For testing purposes I've installed the latest Big Sur Beta. Before I've updated OpenCore to 0.6.1 and the kexts. No change to config.plist.

Installation went without issues. And MacOS seems to work fine.

Now I'm migrating from Mojave to see if it gonna work.

Update:

Apparently migration went successful. Maybe I just need to reinstall some software.

      I have put together this simple little guide for anybody wanting to use a Patched DSDT EFI with the same configuration as me.
      This is also a thread to discuss everything Z390 Master and try and help where we can and maybe make things a little better for you.

      A huge massive thank you to @glasgood @MaLd0n @larabee These three guys have helped me and talked me so much and are as helpful as you could ever get, Without them I wouldn't have a perfect working build like I do or be putting up this Guide & Discussion Thread sharing the hard work and countless hours that we have all put in to this.

      This EFI and Patched DSDT have been created to work with a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master using bios revision F11L, 9900k with a 5700 XT but has also been tested and verified fully working with the following Hardware

      Hi guys, this thread is to show you a new and open source app, created by me, that I called TINU:

      The name means: TINU Is Not #####, the U refers to a popular software that is used to create macOS hackintosh installers (that for good reasons is banned on this forum), but the aim of the name is to explain that this app is a totally different thing from that software and works in a totally different way.

      This app basically is a graphical interface for the createinstallmedia executable that is inside the macOS and Mac OS X installer apps, it is capable to create a bootable installer completely vanilla like what you do using the command line method, and also this method is recommended by apple itself. In addition to this, this app provvides you simplicity and flexybility, and lets you to avoid most of the tedious steps or problems of other simlar apps.

      TINU allows you to create easily a bootable macOS installer without messing around with command line stuff and without using disk utility, all you need to do is use the app and then install your bootloader of choiche on the usb (or just leave it as is if you want to use it on a real Mac).

      Features:
      - Simple-to-use UI that allows you to easily start the bootable macOS installer creation process.
      - It can work with every macOS installer app that has the createinstallmedia executable inside its resources folder (including also beta and newly released installers).
      - You can use any erasable volume that is at least 7 GB of size (if the volume's drive is not in GUID format, TINU will re-format it accordingly).
      - Can work with the Mac OS recovery system, so you can create a bootable macOS installer from the macOS installer itself or from the macOS recovery partition, and you can use TINU to install macOS, too.
      - 100% clean: The bootable macOS installers created with this tool are vanilla, just as if you created them using the command line "createinstallmedia" method in Terminal.
      - Open Source: You can verify what this program does on your computer and you can create your own version by downloading and playing with the source code.
      - Does not require any special preparations. Just open the program, make sure you have a USB drive plugged in and have a macOS installer app on your disk.
      - No need to use Disk Utility. TINU can format your drive or partition for you.
      - Integrated EFI partition mounter tool.
      - Works using the latest versions of macOS and will also support newer Mac installers out of the box without requiring an update.
      - Offers advanced features to customize your bootable macOS installer.

       (To sugegst a new feature please contact me on github)

      Requirements:
      - A computer that runs Mac OS X Yosemite or a more recent version (Mac OS X El Capitan is required to use TINU in a macOS recovery or installer).
      - A drive or a free partition (on a drive which already supports GUID) of least 7 GB that you want to turn into a macOS/Mac OS X installer.
      - A copy of a macOS/Mac OS X installer app (Maveriks or newer versions are supported) in the /Applications folder or in the root of any storage drive on your machine (excepted the drive or volume you want to turn into your macOS install media).

      In this thread, I have fully documented the installation of macOS Catalina on my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini. It is a PERFECT HackMini8,1 and is running very well for me without any issues. I hope this documentation helps you to install macOS on your hack. Please leave feedback if you think there is anything I can improve and let me know if you have any questions.
      **********************************************************************************

      Background
      This is my first "modern" hack supporting UEFI and my first hack using Clover "on-the-fly" patches.  My previous hacks
      Laptop: Thinkpad T61 / Nvidia NVS 140m Laptop: Dell Latitude E6410 / Nvidia G3100m Desktop: Gigabyte G31 / GeForce 9600 Desktop: Biostar TH55HD / Sapphire Pulse RX580 (Google "Catalina Biostar TH55HD" and look for user name deeveedee)
      are all perfectly running Catalina and I patched them all "manually" - all DSDT patches applied with MaciSL with virtually no Clover on-the-fly patching and all booted Legacy Clover.  This UEFI hack was MUCH easier and took about 20 hours vs. a combined hundreds of hours for the old hacks.  I wanted a hack that was a little more future proof and I think this is it.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I am enjoying it.  It is a perfect MacMini8,1.

      My system specs
      HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini (I7-8700T / UHD 630 / Q370 Chipset / 32GB DDR4 RAM) 3 x DP Ports (connected to monitors using DP -> DVI adapters) 6 x USB 3.1 1 x USB Type-C 3.1 2 x NVMe SSD (M.2 PCIe x4 2280/2230 combo ports) 1 x SATA6 SSD 1 x Intel Ethernet RJ-45 Conexant CX20632 Audio Codec Unsupported M.2 PCIe x1 2230 Intel Wi-Fi.  A possible solution is here, but I am NOT offering any support for this.
