Hi, I am using Gigabyte B360M D3H mobo, I created the usb installer disk, mount EFI, and copy the kext/others from Mojave to Catalina, and install the Clover bootloader to catalina usb,

when I boot the USB, it just hanged and cannot proceed.

Can you help me?

For this motherboard you have to install EmuVariableUefi.efi

Hi, Sherlocks! Have you succeeded to boot with BCM94352Z with FakePCIID?
I have the same problem with wifi card, but fakepciid is not helping me.
did you use dsdt or fakeid?
i will research binary patch for airport until airportbcrmfixup resolved

Hi, anyone has tested the Atheros AR9280 in Catalina? In Mojave I need to extract from High Sierra´s IO80211Family.kext the AirPortAtheros40.kext from 10.13.6 and put it into the Mojave´s IO80211Family.kext > Plugins and reinstall the kext, with this method I was able to work AR9280 in Mojave without any problem. At the moment I can´t try it.

Thanks in advance.

Guys, how do you upgrade without losing your data? I tried but I think messed up a little. I create a USB installer and boot from it and try to install over my Mojave but it always stuck. Are you using a different way?

Hello all my Friends.. i have a Problem with Catalina 10.15 beta1

I can not move the icons on my desk, the green cross message comes up, which displays the symbols of other Paritions-symbols, e.g. "copied".

I do not want to copy anything, just change the order, e.g. move from the right edge to the left edge of the desk.

what is the faked for intel hd 630 for Catalina? I tried 59168086, but that didn't seem to work. Do I need a kext for graphics or has it changed?

Thanks my friend @Herve ... I thought I had something wrong with the security or access settings.
But something like that, in my opinion, should not happen in a beta 1. Says times do not test the bums of Apple before?

Pulling off a big show and seeing no such flawed mistakes should not happen, even if it's Devloper Beta.

Hi folks, I'm new to this forums just to participate in this discussion. Today I managed to get headless iGPU with my RX580. I also added my basic hardware specs as a screenshot from Mohave. I followed this thread and managed to install (and run) Catalina on my CustoMac to/from an extra partition. However I did that before I was trying to get headless iGPU up and running. To do that I need to activate `iGPU multiple monitor` support in the BIOS (ASUS Maximus IX Hero). Unfortunately I get a kernel panic when I try to boot into Cataline with that BIOS setting enabled, if it's disabled it boots just fine.

Does anyone has a suggestion where I can start further investigation. I also need a helping hand to extract the Kernel Panic logs from Catalina as a video recording from the iPad is not fully readable.

The reason why I started this in first place was to try if this was the root case why `Sidecar` (using the iPad as an external screen always failed. I observed system logs from macOS and the iPad and there are things like weird frame buffer errors or other things. I'm not sure if this even related to my CustoMac setup or just bugs of the beta OS's.)

Thank you folks in advance.

AirPortBrcmNIC.kext caused kernel panic for my laptop.

therefore i determined to use deviceid(pci14e4,4331) of AirPortBrcm4360.kext. then no more kernel panic with airportbcrmfixup.kext

but it's not still work. so until it is fix, we need to whitelist board-patch for airport extreme.

here is patch. thanks rehabman.

I use CCC to clone my working installation to a spare HD. Then upgraded to Catalina on the working installation.

If things go wrong, I boot to the clone and clone it back to the original drive, then try again.

      Update: On October 24, 2020, using clover to solve the macOS11 beta10 boot problem, you can now enjoy macOS11beta10, and the compatibility of subsequent versions is not guaranteed.
      HIDPI uses a modified version. You can directly execute the hidpi script to get a better experience. If you lose the repair, it is not within the scope of my support.
      Support upgrades without destroying the integrity of the original image.
      There seems to be a problem with the shortcut keys. If you can help solve it, thank you for your contribution.

      Perhaps it was the first NEC (Lenovo) Lavie Z HZ550 to install hackintosh. I hope more people who like Lavie Z series can experience Hackintosh at HZ550. She is really great.

      I found HZ550 & HZ750 on the Chinese website, which is amazing. It weighs only 790g, 13.3 inches, and the standard 2k screen, which is too attractive to me. I am a Hackintosh enthusiast. I think HZ550 or HZ750 with MacOS is the best Unfortunately, the Lavie Z series is not listed in China, only exists in the Japanese and American markets, and in the Japanese market is the NEC brand, while the American market uses the Lenovo logo.

      Fortunately, I got an HZ550 from Taobao. Yes, not HZ750. In comparison, HZ750 has more touch screens and 360 ° flip. These are hard to attract me. More importantly, HZ750 is about 200g heavier than HZ550 That's why I chose HZ550. Well, because he is only 2,000 RMB.

      The specific introduction can refer to NEC Japan official website:http://nec-lavie.jp/products/hz13b/

      The HZ550 hardware list I obtained:

                       -/+:.          ningnan@ningnandeMacBook-Air
                      :++++.          OS: 64bit Mac OS X 10.15.5 19F96
                     /+++/.           Kernel: x86_64 Darwin 19.5.0
             .:-::- .+/:-``.::-       Uptime: 19m
          .:/++++++/::::/++++++/:`    Packages: 1
        .:///////////////////////:`   Shell: zsh 5.7.1
        ////////////////////////`     Resolution: 3840x2160
       -+++++++++++++++++++++++`      DE: Aqua
       /++++++++++++++++++++++/       WM: Quartz Compositor
       /sssssssssssssssssssssss.      WM Theme: Blue (Dark)
       :ssssssssssssssssssssssss-     Disk: 11G / 108G (12%)
        osssssssssssssssssssssssso/`  CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U @ 2.40GHz
        `syyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy+`  GPU: Intel Iris Graphics 6100

           :ooooooooooooooooooo+.
            `:+oo+/:-..-:/+o+/-

      Advantages: small size, light weight, 2K screen, 8G memory, 512g SSD, keyboard feels good, and wireless network card can be replaced, which is unimaginable in today's thin and light books.
      Disadvantages: The sound is small, almost the same as the mosquitoes.

      Ok, bragging is over!
      In order to use the wireless network, I changed the wireless network card from inter 7265 to BCM94352ZAE. Some people called it DW1560. It is uncomfortable that in China, this card and his elder brother DW1830 were hyped to a high price of 480RMB. of. Fortunately, I bought it early, and this card is also very stable under win10, and there is no high delay and outage. The hard disk should be PM951 of Samsung, not PM981, which is lucky.   Before installing Hackintosh: You need to prepare a 16G U disk, SanDisk is not a rough choice for making MacOS installation disk, I used the latest MacOS Catalina 10.15.5, got config.plist from Rehabman, and put together an EFI, the latest version of clover and kext drivers. Thanks to Rehabman and the developers of the Black Apple community. I do n’t like that OC team very much.
      Make an installation disk: If you have a computer running MacOS, you can use the command line to make it, if you do n’t have a computer running MacOS, you can try VMware, I know that the insanelymac forum allows discussion, or use ether to write the image to U disk, use the EFI I provided to boot into the installation process.   BIOS setting: Press F12 at boot to enter the BIOS settings, Tab switches to "Security-Secure boot", set to "DISable", this is what we need, and switch to "Boot -Boot devices", set the U disk as the first boot item You can directly enter the clover guide interface, please follow it for google it.
      It is worth noting that the remaining space of your EFI partition needs to be greater than 200M, otherwise, the disk format will be wrong. In addition, the format partition format is APFS, do not choose to encrypt, your data is not valuable, at least you must have this awareness of Hackintosh, the file safe is also the same, do not enable, do not use to find your mac, otherwise, change the machine, OK .   Fortunately, no additional ssdt patch is required. All the patch functions are implemented through clover. The flat Apple is turned on. This is to solve the problem of the flower screen. You can find a solution yourself.
      Experience your black apple, this will bring a better experience than MacBook Pro.

      In this thread, I have fully documented the installation of macOS Catalina on my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini. It is a PERFECT HackMini8,1 and is running very well for me without any issues. I hope this documentation helps you to install macOS on your hack. Please leave feedback if you think there is anything I can improve and let me know if you have any questions.
      **********************************************************************************

      Background
      This is my first "modern" hack supporting UEFI and my first hack using Clover "on-the-fly" patches.  My previous hacks
      Laptop: Thinkpad T61 / Nvidia NVS 140m Laptop: Dell Latitude E6410 / Nvidia G3100m Desktop: Gigabyte G31 / GeForce 9600 Desktop: Biostar TH55HD / Sapphire Pulse RX580 (Google "Catalina Biostar TH55HD" and look for user name deeveedee)
      are all perfectly running Catalina and I patched them all "manually" - all DSDT patches applied with MaciSL with virtually no Clover on-the-fly patching and all booted Legacy Clover.  This UEFI hack was MUCH easier and took about 20 hours vs. a combined hundreds of hours for the old hacks.  I wanted a hack that was a little more future proof and I think this is it.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I am enjoying it.  It is a perfect MacMini8,1.

      My system specs
      HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini (I7-8700T / UHD 630 / Q370 Chipset / 32GB DDR4 RAM) 3 x DP Ports (connected to monitors using DP -> DVI adapters) 6 x USB 3.1 1 x USB Type-C 3.1 2 x NVMe SSD (M.2 PCIe x4 2280/2230 combo ports) 1 x SATA6 SSD 1 x Intel Ethernet RJ-45 Conexant CX20632 Audio Codec Unsupported M.2 PCIe x1 2230 Intel Wi-Fi.  A possible solution is here, but I am NOT offering any support for this.

A possible solution is here, but I am not offering any support for this.
