also can't see "DSMOS has arrived" message

Because it doesn't get that far. It hangs before the Mac Framework gets a chance to initialize.

I took a screenshot from a successfull DP4 boot to compare. DP5 hangs at the apfs_module_start line

@chris1111 I got mine booting:

  1. I blocked the injection of any kext other than Lilu+VirtualSMC
  2. I Removed the DSDT and SSDT
  3. Unplugged all HDDs other than macOS

I'm going to install it on my probook now

Edit: install done on my Precision. Turns out removing DSDT+SSDT was sufficient, no need to block the injection of kexts

How did you passed the PCI Configuration end with your Probook? In my desktop build can´t pass this, but in my HP EliteBook 2570P no problem with Beta 5 update.

Thanks.

Yes, in my laptop HP EliteBook I install the Beta 5 without any problem, but in the PC i5 4460 Desktop build it stucks in PCI configuration end, and I think changing EC0 to EC in DSDT Patches will solve the problem, but doesn´t seems to do anything. The strange thing is I could update from Beta 4 to Beta 5 in Desktop build, but after update it I can boot it.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards.

Check your DSDT. Probably you need the H_EC to EC patch

      I would like to try to install Catalina on a 64 GB flash drive, in order to bypass the SATA issue. I so thay many managed to do that on external SSDs.
      Actualy, already tried it. The first step finished ok, just it took much longer. After first booting from the target flash drive from the installing flash drive, it blocked on something like ”installer will create a non-removeable partition”. Perhaps if I waiting long enough, I would have passed that phase, but there were already some 15 minutes since it blocked.
