HideSelf=Nо

ScanPolicy resolve EFI or set 0

Check a way to the file bootmgfw.efi in BlessOverride.

Try this:

Misc -> Boot > HideSelf = NO

Misc -> Security -> ScanPolicy = 722 179

This combination reads as:

OC_SCAN_FILE_SYSTEM_LOCK

OC_SCAN_DEVICE_LOCK
OC_SCAN_ALLOW_FS_APFS
OC_SCAN_ALLOW_DEVICE_SATA

OC_SCAN_ALLOW_DEVICE_SASEX

OC_SCAN_ALLOW_FS_ESP

OC_SCAN_ALLOW_DEVICE_NVME

If you want both EFI-folder and Boot Camp in Boot Menu then you have to put your Windows installation on a second disk and set HideSelf = NO.

That's it!

1. Remove EFICheckDisabler.kext and it's item in config.plist, why the heck did you use that kext.

2. set DisableVariableWrite=YES, if your motherboard does not have a HARDWARE NVRAM. you need to check that by your self.

3. notes for SSDT-PLUG.aml, is your CPU at _PR_.CPU0 or _SB_.PR00, check that with your DSDT.

4. if you can turn off CFG LOCK in your BIOS, then set AppleCpuPmCfgLock=NO, AppleXcpmCfgLock=NO

5. you set ScanPolicy=1117955, that's mess, it will not scan your NVME drive if you have one, set it to 0 for god sake.

1. Holdover from Clover, sorry

2. My hardware NVRAM works just fine

3. SSDT-PLUG.aml was adjusted for my board

4. no way in BIOS

5. All my drives are SATA.

Had to make USB installer and re-install Catalina to get it to boot again, not the best solution.

It seems everytime I update kexts or OC , it gets the unable to load kernel cache error.

Don't forget OC have Misc->Entries->Item 0, this is where you add your custom entries and UEFI shell tools, you can add any custom entry for your Windows, Linux, FreeBsd, or macOS, or even other boot loaders.  Why bother with scan policy and setting HideSelf = No. I hope there's an option to set Auto Scan to Off soon, so I can just add my own custom entry for each of the OS with the name I choose..:) Else I am gonna add it myself.

Screen Shot below is my custom Window 10 entry with HideSelf=Yes, and Default scan policy, and it happens to sit on the same EFI folder that OC is. If you don't know your device path, you can look it up in the boot log. It tell you where everything is.

I think that OpenCore force to use DSDT for windows  can't we boot windows without DSDT?

second when I put DSDT in ACPI folder windows 10 boot fine no error message

but I can't boot my macOS to cause of VoodooI2C or SSDTI2C.aml or _CRS METHOD patching  I don't know

hasn't OpenCore dual boot option without DSDT?

and how to get bootlog using OpenCore to find boot path for Misc/Entries

I extremely sorry for my bad English

The most trivial change would be to add a case for MSG_DEVICE_LOGICAL_UNIT_DP, but unsure of how much (security-related) use that is, really. If you're concerned with security, you should probably integrate edk2's NvmExpressDxe into your FW (this is out of scope for this thread though, so please do not ask questions about that here)

Thank you!. I added that case and now I can use DEVICE_LOCK bit.

I'd like to ask for your opinion about my main problem with oc right now, maybe you can orient me in the right direction.

My MB is not posting ocasionally (with led code AA, meaning no problem), when i try reseting or switch off-on, after 3-9 times it will rarely post but when it does bios setup has some unasked changes (most of the time CSM is enabled, once it enabled SecureBoot...). What 'fixes' the problem always is to reflash the latest bios.

This problem started at the same time that I started using Open Core.

I am uploading my current EFI folder just in case it is related to configuration.

Thanks again.

Let's say OC is still at the developing/testing stage, there's still many features or changes that may be coming depending on how widely it will be adopted among hackintosh community.  There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinion or requesting features that you would like to see in OC here. I think OC direction is try to make your PC hardware look like a Mac hardware (not cosmetic though) as much as possible, so macOs think it's a Mac that's installing on while other bootloaders doesn't care which methods it uses, as long as it works..

As a long time hackintosh user, I get used to patching everything on my DSDT.aml and CPU on SSDT.aml.

I didn't say which boot log, did I?...it's other boot loader's boot log.

That OC applies ACPI modifications agnostic of the OS booted was a conscious design decision and is not a shortcut as for "developing/testing stage". The whole point of ACPI in the first place is a platform-side abstraction towards any ACPI-compatible OS, and as they *all* have their own quirks regarding that (macOS the most), "OSI" is a thing and shall be used for OS-conditionals

Hi everyone, I'm a long time Hackintosher and now I'm trying to switch my year-old Hackintosh laptop to OpenCore.
I have a Lifebook e744 i5 4300m 16gb ram 128gb SSD.

I've managed to get verbose but I get a KP about a watchdog.

I did a video of the verbose that I've uploaded here:  https://mega.nz/#!t8JTiAyA!kBQsfydgvlEI5cDYq7Epfi8su-peVedYO7AqUdB7bsE

And I have my configuration here: https://mega.nz/#!x5IVhQwa!uQDtRZDIrUQIsdIEJWsGEag6lqyrtBq1qUG5NIa7sW4

Currently opencore is on a usb stick because i use my hackintosh to work and i need it perfectly running.

Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Do you want to quickly find your boot log, or ever wanted to know which version of bootloader is installed on your disk(s), had the need to dump your BIOS from OS X, just curious about your own system setup or been asked to provide your setup information to others when asking for assistance?

DarwinDumper is a useful collection of readily available tools, and scripts wrapped in an application framework giving you a convenient method to quickly gather a system overview of your hack or Mac. And rest assured that enabling the privacy option will mask sensitive data like the IOPlatformSerialNumber, IOPlatformUUID, IOMACAddress(s), USB Serial Number(s), SystemSerialNumber, serial-number, fmm-mobileme-token-FMM, MLB and ROM efi vars and CustomUUID in the dumped files and report.

Current Release Version: 3.0.4, though latest beta DarwinDumper_v3.1.0b6

The system dumps are saved to a folder or your choice, but defaulting to the same directory as the main application. You can choose to setup a symlink to make it simple to run DarwinDumper from the Terminal.

There is an option to create an html report showing a complete overview of the dumps. This report will mostly just contain the text dumps as you'll find in the main dump directory, but for some dumps there is extra processing to try to present the information in a better way. For example, the Disk Partitions and Unique ID's dump will show a visual map of the disk layout, and the DMI Tables (SMBIOS) dump will show the data split by table type.

Note: The html report does not contain all files from a complete dump so if seeking assistance for a problem and you wish to send someone a DarwinDump then you will want to send the complete dump directory and not just the .html report file.

The following can be read and dumped by DarwinDumper:
      - ACPI tables.
      - Audio codec and further info.
      - Boot loaders and configuration files.
      - CPU info.
      - Device-properties.
      - Disk partition structure / info.
      - Disk sectors (hex).
      - DMI (SMBIOS).
      - EDID.
      - I/O Kit Registry.
      - EFI Memory Map.
      - EFI vars (some).
      - Kernel information
      - Kexts - (list of currently loaded kexts).
      - Memory.
      - NVRAM (both Apple specific and UEFI firmware variables).
      - SMC Keys.
      - LSPCI (PCI vendor & device codes) dumps.
      - Power (Sleep/Hibernate) settings.
      - RTC.
      - System Profiler.
      - System BIOS.
      - System Log(s).
      - Video BIOS.

Running DarwinDumper from the command line:
From Terminal, you can initiate DarwinDumper by running the following script directly.

/DarwinDumper.app/Contents/Resources/public/bash/script.sh To help with this, the UI has a Symlink option which you can click to create a symbolic link which points to the above script. DarwinDumper can then be subsequently run from the command-line by loading a new Terminal window and typing darwindumper followed by return.
