I’m currently running an Aorus Master Z390, 9900K, RX 580, IGPU enabled, and I can’t get OC 0.5.5 to boot without MemoryAllocation.efi.

Any tips you can recommend? Slide values don’t help. Changing memory settings for IGPU doesn’t either. I’ve probably tried everything there is to try, including various OC quirks and settings.

Only way I can get booted without that efi is to disable igpu.

Yeah but on the Z390 Pro it’s a lot harder to get it all going then it is on the master. Over on my master thread everybody in converting to my new EFI minus MemoryAllocation.EFI with no trouble at all following my advise.

Yes, I did. All Hotkeys working without any problem. I am using my setup like a real Mac now.

I don't want to see the boot picker cause I have just one boot drive, here are my settings;

PollAppleHotKeys YES

ShowPicker NO (if you want to see boot entries start to click multiple times to Opt/Alt button when you saw the Motherboard Logo if doesn't work for you use ESC button)

TakeoffDelay 5000

Timeout 0

UsePicker YES

KeySupport NO

You must add AppleUsbKbDxe.efi driver. That's it.

Thanks I missed that line;

  1. In case a separate driver is used, such as AppleUsbKbDxe, this option should never be enabled.

I already wrote it. When you see Motherboard logo start to press and hold while apple logo comes for Command-R and Command+Opt+P+R

Hi Everybody!
I cannot migrate from clover, and I don't understand why. This is an old P8P67 WS Revolution with i7-3370 and a RX 580 Nitro+. I need to go opencore, because the clover crash when I try to load the ApfsDriverLoader.efi.  So just have only one way, the opencore. I fixed a lot of memory allocation error, and I so the next step will be the kernel start, but i stuck here. Completly freeze, and I don't know, where can I start finding this problem. This installer with clover boot without any issue (I use OsxAptioFixDrv in clover), so it will be a configuration error, but i couldn't found any solution.

Here is my log opencore-2020-02-08-121735.txt and config config.plist

Thanks in advance!

Literally, set the ‘vault’ parameter in config.plist to ‘optional’

Booting stuck on PCI configuration end and apfs_module_Start:1683....

My configuration is i9 10940X + X299 Asus Prime deluxe II motherboard + Radeon VII graphics. I am able to boot with clover but on open core booting is stuck on PCI configuration end + apfs_module_Start:1683....

I have tested  OC on my other i9 9900K +z390 motherboard system and it works well

Do I need to add any quirks or any tweaks for X299? I have TSC sync kext for 14core is already added.

Any help appreciated

Thank you

It's a OOB wifi card no kexts needed. I think it's a NVRAM issue, my config is very unstable on OpenCore : after clear CMOS, i can boot via Opencore 0.5.5. Since I update to Opencore 0.5.6 Beta, I can't.

Config.plist in attachment

OC-config.plist

      Hi everyone:

      This is to report a success (!) in installing macOS Big Sur Beta 6 (version 20A5364e) on my system MSI X299 SLI Plus with Intel i9 9940X using OpenCore 0.6.1. I followed the main OpenCore guide here:
      https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/
      Make sure you look for the Skylake-X or HEDT sections.
      The SMBIOS is for the iMacPro1,1.

      There were two main issues that had to be taken care of:

      * I needed the kernel argument
      npci=0x2000 otherwise USB would not work.

      * I had to replace the precompiled SSDT-AWAC with my own RTC SSDT, as explained here:
      https://dortania.github.io/Getting-Started-With-ACPI/Universal/awac-methods/manual.html#rtc0-method
      The problem is that my SSDT does not have any AWAC to be patched. A sign that I needed this was that booting into the installer hanged around loading Lilu or some of the SMC extras.

      The path to replace in the provided SSDT-RTC0 is:
      ** PCI0 -> PC00
      ** LPCB -> LPC0
      This is probably specific to my motherboard. Instead of using the SSDT-AWAC, I use my own RTC0 like this:
      DefinitionBlock ("", "SSDT", 2, "ACDT", "RTC0", 0x00000000) { External (_SB_.PC00.LPC0, DeviceObj) // (from opcode) Scope (_SB.PC00.LPC0) { Device (RTC0) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0B00")) // _HID: Hardware ID Name (_CRS, ResourceTemplate () // _CRS: Current Resource Settings { IO (Decode16, 0x0070, // Range Minimum 0x0070, // Range Maximum 0x01, // Alignment 0x08, // Length ) IRQNoFlags () {8} }) Method (_STA, 0, NotSerialized) // _STA: Status { If (_OSI ("Darwin")) { Return (0x0F) } Else { Return (Zero) } } } } } Only the lines:
      External (_SB_.PC00.LPC0, DeviceObj) // (from opcode) Scope (_SB.PC00.LPC0) are different from the original SSDT-RTC0 here:
      https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/blob/master/Docs/AcpiSamples/SSDT-RTC0.dsl

      By following the guide above and implementing these two differences, I was able to install macOS Big Sur beta 6.

      Big thanks to the amazing OpenCore team for allowing this. Not only the complete tools, files, binaries, are fantastic, but the manual is amazing!

      Hi. I need help if possible.
      I tried installing Big Sur on my Hackintosh with OC and Catalina working. Every time I try to boot it I receive a kernel panic relative to ACPI. The strange thing is that this kernel panic occurs only with Big Sur and High Sierra. Every other macOS version boots (I tried from 10.9 to 11).

      My build is:
      Motherboard: Gigabyte X79-UD3 CPU: Intel Core I7 4820K GPU: XFX Radeon RX570 I'm attaching the kernel panic and my EFI configuration (I still need to map the USBs 'cause I switched to OpenCore yesterday).
      PS. In the OC folder there's not a resources folder because I deleted it to upload it
      Kernel panic Big Sur.rtf
      OC configuration.zip
