Try moving VoodooGPIO and VoodooI2CServices above in config.plist so they load firstly, then add VoodooI2C and lastly VoodooI2CHID.

Same problem is with ApplePS2SmartTouchpad. Firstly I load it's plug-ins, then the kext actually.

Your tips works!! This is great! Thank you!

All is working good, this is probably better than clover, just 2 things i want to ask, 1st is i use a 2k monitor and the boot seems to sit at low resolution and 2nd at the picker screen i have to press "2" to boot otherwise it defaults to 1. "EFI" and hangs.

could you share you config?

There is many users with Gigabyte Boards especially the Z390 with NVRAM issues, also with Shutdown and Restarting glitches is there any plans to have a emulated NVRAM for OC to resolve this issue, Also when setting PlatformNVRAM to Auto, when running Geekbench it displays the motherboard as a MacbookPro 15,2, i know this can be fixed by adding SMBIOS to the config and changing the Board Version String. but when this is done on the Z390 it won't boot due to NVRAM issues.

Maybe if anyone has any ideas they could check out the OpenCore Channel on Discord https://discord.gg/N24hR6J :P

Looks like we may have to wait for a NVRAM solution, but it needs a patch for sure otherwise thats a large slice of hardware excluded.

I updated the ZBoxNano with my setup to Mojave 10.14.4, all fine.

Boot from power button to desktop in less than 30 seconds.

Thank you for this nice boot-loader!

OpenCore Bootloader with macOS Mojave 10.14.5 Beta 4 Build 18F127a

Specifications :
- Processor : Intel Core i7 6700
- iGPU : Intel HD 530
- eGPU : MSI Armor RX580 4GB
- Motherboard : Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7
- Storage : 1x MSata WD 240GB + 2x SSD @120GB + 5 HDD Storage (2x 2TB + 2x 500GB)
- Wifi + Bluetooth : Broadcom BCM943602CS
- Audio Codec : Creative CA0132 (5.1 Audio work)
- RAM : 8GB (2x4GB) PC24000 (3000Mhz)
- OpenCore version : rev 0.0.2
- Boot Mode : UEFI

What's work??
- Sleep, Shutdown, and Restart
- Good Cpu Power Management
- HEVC and H264 for IGPU and eGPU
- All USB Port
- Unlock limit patch USB from config.plist of OpenCore (Built-in, just enable it)
- QE/CI for RX580
- Faster boot time than clover
- All kext in OC/Kexts is loaded perfectly
- HDMI Audio
- Audio Onboard (CA0132)

All ACPI patch is in DSDT only,, no patch / binary DSDT patch from config.plist of OpenCore.

I can say, all device work like using Clover but better boot time and Cpu Power management (my opinion)

Sorry for repeating my question, but any plans to have OpenCore run on legacy BIOS? (Intel 7-series mobile chipset)

I suggest stopping to replace random firmware modules that are incompatible with the rest of the software stack and just use EmuVariable. This has nothing to do with OpenCore though.

Anyone willing to take a look at my config and tell me why my audio isn't working, I took all the Device Properties and boot-args from Clover config that make it work.

you need to add a device PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1f,0x3)

Hi,

@vit9696

I found the reason why I was not able to use vault.

When vault.plist is create, in my case first line is:

ACPI\Custom\DSDT.aml except that directectory is Acpi.

To solve atm i rename Acpi to ACPI. (Upper Low case)

And now it boot fine with vault enable.

../Tools/create_vault.sh ../OC
openssl genrsa -out privatekey.pem 2048
openssl req -new -x509 -key privatekey.pem -out publickey.cer -days 1825
../Tools/RsaTool -cert publickey.cer > vault.pub
rm privatekey.pem
rm publickey.cer
../Tools/RsaTool -sign vault.plist vault.sig vault.pub
off=$(($(strings -a -t d OpenCore.efi | grep "=BEGIN OC VAULT=" | cut -f1 -d' ')+16))
dd of=OpenCore.efi if=vault.pub bs=1 seek=$off count=520 conv=notrunc
rm vault.pub

sign.sh

Before to use read PDF.

Don't forget to set to YES RequireSignature and RequireVault in config.plist

Put it into Tools directory with other files needed.

in terminal ./sign.sh

Answer to first question country when create certificate for me FR and press just enter for others.

I wished it was that but on my board the device address is PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0)

Figured it out, had to move Lilu in kernel section to the first one to load, audio works now.

Anyone know what value needs to go into ProcessorType of the SMBIOS section? My CPUs are 10-Core Xeon E5-2670v2 with a CPU type of 0x0105 in IOREG.

Okay how are we fixing this ProcessorType in OC, what should the format be and could someone give examples as to what we need to add to the config to pick this up

as nothing seems to work.

Ok I have found the magic number, but it was a pain in the ass. Had to convert 0x0a0a to decimal which gives me 2750 integer. Now CPU in System Preferences shows Processor: 2 x 2.5 GHz 10-Core Intel Xeon E5.

Hi, I'm receiving these two errors before the system automatically reboots.
      36:296 00:063 OCSMC: SmcReadValue Key 4D535463 Size 1 36:351 00:054 OCSMC: SmcReadValue Key 4D534163 Size 2
Using OpenCore 0.5.7, Mojave 10.14.6 installed successfully (from USB, but have not gone through OS setup ie. 'select your country' screen yet) but now selecting the Mojave drive in the boot picker results in the above error.
Hardware is Gigabyte H77-DS3H, Core i7 3770 (Ivy Bridge), Radeon Sapphire RX 580 Pulse, 16GB DDR3 ram.

I had a fully working 10.14.4 install running OC 0.5.6 prior to this.

OpenCore log and config.plist (with SMBIOS serials etc removed) attached - any help greatly appreciated.

      Thank you.

I have been using clover to install and configuration my Hackintosh High Sierra 10.13.6. It's been a struggle and a pain. Can't restart/shutdown/wake from sleep. Random freezes. When freeze happens mouse works but in loading state. UI and open apps freeze not the mouse. I can make the apps smaller and move them.

I haven't used any DSDT nor SSDT. Tried 5 or 6 of them from others but sometimes i end up not booting. Could someone explain me do i even need them and why? Do i need DSDT or SSDT or both?

I'm going to try to install everything OpenCore. The first thing is i can't use a method that needs an internet while installing MacOS cause my ethernet/internet only works when i install MacOS. So i can't use the images i need full installation. Okay i have the full installation for 10.13.6. I need to use a version 10.13.4-6 versions cause application Sketch needs the newer one High Sierra 10.13.4++ version.

Can you tell me? Can i use same kexts from Clover on OpenCore? Secondly how can i install full USB MacOS installer? (High Sierra 10.13.6 version i have is 7gb i think thats it)
Is there a version of AMDHigh Sierra version made from the community for 10.13.4++ version?
If i use the normal 10.13.6 High Sierra should i use this AMD 10.13.6 Kernel when i have installed the MacOS or some other kernel that's better for my system? https://github.com/Shaneee/AMD-High-Sierra-XNU/releases
Whats the best version of High Sierra to use for Ryzen and Nvidia system?

Will it be better to use OpenCore?

      Specs:
      Mortar Max B450M
      Ryzen 2600x
      Nvidia GTX 1060
      16gb DDR4 2400mhz

      OC forked https://github.com/n-d-k/OpenCorePkg.

      Additional features/changes:
      ============

      [ Multi-Boot ]
        - ACPI patches and Booter Quirks are optional for non macOS with setting ACPI->Quirks->EnableForAll / Booter->Quirks->EnableForAll to yes (default is no).
        - SMBIOS and Device Properties patches will only applied to macOS.

      [ Hotkeys ]
        - Full functional Hotkeys [1-9] corresponding to Boot Entry's Index number and dedicated W (Windows) / X (macOS) keys can be used without seeing Boot Picker.
        - While in boot picker, F10 can use to take a snapshot of the screen.

      [ Ui Boot Picker ]
        - Bios Date/time, auto boot to the same OS or manual set to always boot one OS mode, and OC version are displayed in boot picker.
        - Auto boot to previous booted OS (if Misc->Security->AllowSetDefault is NO/false).
        - macOS Recovery/Tools Entries are hidden by default, use Spacebar/Mouse click right in Boot Menu as a toggle on/off to show/hide hidden entries.
        - Mouse supported.

      [ Custom Entries ]
         - Custom entries are now listed first in picker menu and by the orders they are appeared in Misc->Boot->Entries, before all other entries.
         - Ability to change entry name found by auto scanner by adding custom entry with the exact same device path,
this will give users the option to complete change how all boot entries listed in Boot Picker.

      [ Others ]
         - No verbose apfs.efi driver loading (if using apfs.efi instead of ApfsDriverLoader.efi).
          - ndk-macbuild.tool script are set to compile with latest edk2 (One can easily set to stable edk2 if prefer).

      Usage:
       - To build OpenCore, run "./ndk-macbuild.tool" at Terminal (require Xcode and Xcode Command Line Tool installed, and open xcode to accept license agreement before compiling).

      4k light theme

Script file to clone Clover, Opencore (official and unofficial) repos
Script will create link to itself in /usr/local/bin/bob
Wouldn't hurt to check there are no "Bob"'s there, i "Hope" there isn't.
Then you only need to type bob. and a parameter
      "n" for NDK repo, unofficial
      "a" for ACID repo, official
      "c" for CLOVER
It also takes "all" for ALL, if your game

      Easier typing bob than.....usual stuff
      Enjoy
