Emachines e730G - not working LAN, lack of WiFi

Hi guys,

yesterday I installed high Sierra 10.13 on my eMachines E730G.

I’ve installed Fakepciid for my Broadcomm LAN Card (together with Kext for the card). Unfortunately it’s not working... when I connect cable my laptop it doesn’t recognize connection.

I’ve also tried a lot of Kext for my Atheros (ARB597) WiFi card and its not working.

I don’t know what can I do more to connect to internet.

I use latest version of clover.

Remove previous install kext

Try to using this kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/BCM5722D.kext

reboot the laptop and see if the network is connect ?

Use DCPIManager  to view all device  in PCI List /Infos on your machine

Post a picture of PCI List like the below pics

Have you identified your exact model of Broadcom LAN card or, at least, its PCI id?

Re: wireless, Atheros AR5B597 does not exist. If you meant AR5B97 (PCI id 168c:002e), it's fully supported with the default Atheros kext provided in macOS up to High Sierra but it just won't work OOB; you need to apply a DSDT/ACPI patch or patch Atheros40 kext to inject the card's id in the Info.plist file. See here for full details. DSDT/ACPI patch is preferable.

Nope, I've just install kexts and try to connect to WiFi. Unfotunateli its not clear for me how to patch the DSDT. Could you help me with this issue? I've attached dropped DSDT.

Ok, it's definitely an AR5B97, a Foxconn card of some sort according to the subbvendor id 105B. Here's your modified DSDT; you could have managed yourself, it already contained an entry for a wireless card...

Re: LAN, it's a Broadcom-based NetLink BCM57780 GigEthernet card; 'should be supported OOB according to this old thread. 'haven't checked, I let you do it.

Thank you. I have to put it to /Extra?

You're using Clover, aren't you? If so, it goes into Clover/ACPI/patched of your EFI folder, where I found it...

Yes, I'm using Clover.

Thank you for your help. I will check if it will work with my hackintosh.

Okay, after reinstallation of the system, WiFi is working perfectly.

I've another problem with the system. It is not so fast as it should be... When I have opened 3-4 tabs on Safari and Mail, I have a lots of lags when I type in Safari. It may be caused due to lack of some patches in DSDT or my computer have no good configuration for High Sierra?

2 GB Ram

Intel i5-430M

HD5470

Maybe there is some problems with power management?
