Ho well, it make more operation on log but exit for the same reason..!

i didnt remove the 16gb of ram, i’ll try removing ram, but why??

I hope then I can put it back

Past experience, having more than 16gb of ram or ram seated in certain memory slots can cause problem.. idkw. That's why I have indicated in guide, the slots that I have memory seated in. Do you have another SSD to test install with.

Today I successfully used updated PRE & POST INSTALL Aorus Pro Z390 EFI - Intel UHD630 for installing macOS Mojave 10.14.5 without problem.

I'm puzzled :wacko:why install is not going smoothly for you.:)

I can do a video of the log if you like or it’s ok these screenshot?

From logs I can see:

MountedVolumesCount = 24

disk25s1 ?

That seems a lot of volumes, and likely cause of installation problem.

Definitely want to remove extra drives and have only one drive that you intend to use for installing macOS Mojave onto.

- removed 16gb of ram

- removed all ssd

- left only one on sata 0

nothing... same error with MountedVolumesCount = 21

I think the problem is the USB or what I do while creating it

I'll create a new USB and try again with all ssd and ram and see... :(

wondering how can count 24 or 21 volumes....thats really strange!

In disk util before formatting the only ssd mounted I  have the ssd, the usb and the installation ESD of OS.

@glasgood Just updated to the latest EFI you uploaded, still no sleep. When I press the sleep button in the Apple menu, the screen goes off but the fans and the leds of the motherboard stay on.

Maybe It has to do with my BIOS version? I updated to F9 because the trouble I had with the XPG SSD.

Do you have the following set in BIOS:

MIT  Smart Fan 5 Settings  CPU Fan Control mode → PWM

But I don't have the "CORSAIR H100i V2 AIO CPU WATER COOLER"

I'm just using the standard Intel cooler that came with my processor.

I'll give it a shot anyways!

UPDATE:

Still not sleeping. :(

Didn't tell you but to wake it up I can't use the power button because it doesn't do anything. Just by pressing any button of the keyboard and the screen turns on again

Try EmuVariableUefi-64 and slide=0 boot args.

Test by changing BIOS setting below:

 Chipset  Internal Graphics  Auto

Can you run Hackintool and show me the output for Power

Example from my Hackintosh below

I've left my computer for a while and it went to sleep by its own, everything correct...but if I go to the Apple menu to sleep manually it doesn't work :worried_anim:

In a while I'll try what you say and post again! Thanks!!

The "EmuVariableUefi-64" you mean the kext or a bootflag?

slide=0 is already in your EFI

Hackintool without changing anything yet:

I just wanted to say a massive thank you too your guide buddy as I have near enough all the same parts as you do and had it all working to a degree until I came across your guide and now my system is totally flawless and everything works as it should. Thank you so much for this, it made my day.

I have a couple of questions if that's ok?

I noticed that you have it set as 19,1 not 18,3 yet when I check about my mac it still displaying it as a 2017 iMac not the 2019 one. Should I put it back too 18,3 until clover comes with an update making 19,1 work correctly or is something wrong on my end?.

Also last question, Is there any way to get the front USB c port working by any chance and why is it that all the USB ports can't be enabled on the back of the z390 pro and why wont the 3.0 ones at the back run 2.0 but the ones at the front ain't fussy?

I look forward to hearing back from you and for the last time thank you so so much.

In my Hackintosh I see iMac 2019. Did you update Mojave to 10.14.5?

@AudioGod

Previously SMBIOS for the guide was for Mac Mini 2018 with macOS Mojave 10.14.4 . SMBIOS for iMac 19,1 did not work with macOS Mojave  10.14.4 as it required a special build of macOS.

Now with macOS Mojave version 10.14.5, hackintosh guide has working SMBIOS for iMac  19,1 . I feel this is a better SMBIOS for this hackintosh especially for Final Cut users. If you have updated to 10.14.5 then use Clover configurator and change to SMBIOS 19,1

As far as I known, real Mac's have less than 15 USB ports. Having more than 15 USB ports causes problems with hackintosh, hence the ports limit patch.

So to keep USB port count below 15,  I have disabled some USB ports.

So I disabled USB 2 on the back of the hackintosh and enabled then on the front of case / chassis. My case does not have front USB C so it is not enabled on case, but it is enabled on the back of the Aurus Pro.

I wrote a guide, a step by step guide on how to make your own SSDT for custom USB mapping. Link below:

 :)

Hackintool without changing anything yet:

Download EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and place it inside Clover drivers folder.

You may already have slide=0 in your config.plist.

On some systems, EmuVariableUefi-64.efi can cuase intermittent post memory allocation errors,   this might not be the case with your BIOS version.

@blackwalker

I suspect that you do not have a problem with the installer, looks like you may have problem with the disk you are trying to install onto. Possibly the disk is not being reformatted properly.

Try:

1 - Boot into Windows, and use "Windows Disk Managment" and reformat "ssd 500 gb samsung 860 evo drive" that you are attempting to install Mojave onto.

2 - Remove / disconnect  " 2tb m2 970 samsung" and  "2tb crucial " drives

3 - Connect  "ssd 500 gb samsung 860 evo drive" to SATA port 0

4 - Boot from Mojave USB installer.

5 - Open Disk Utility

If installation fails, then try another SSD / HDD drive.

First use Hackintool and attempt to fix sleep image:

Shutdown and restart and then test sleep.

If problem persists:

Can you run the following command in terminal:

Command to save sleepimage to RAM

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0

Other alternatives:

Command to save sleep image to Disk

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 1

Command to save sleep image to RAM and Disk

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3

Hi man

I do exactly how you wrote yesterday,

formatted like you show!

Then tested with only 16gb memory and only ssd on sata 0, but get same error!!

The only thing that is different is format the ssd with windows before!

but the first time i used it was full working in windows...

I think that maybe the disk have some problem.. I have another ssd, but I have to get it.

i’ll try With it later :(

Ho well, I have another evo 860 and a evo 850,

trying with 860, but I doubt it’s a ssd problem...all worked like a charm!!

I'm using Samsung EVO 840,  possibly firmware on 860 could be cause of problem. I would test with the 850.

Hello Guys I'm currently planning to build my first hackintosh and I've made a first list with the components I would use. The Hackintosh would be used for music and video productions (with macos Sierra).
I would be very thankful if someone could go through my list and give me his opinion, if I'm on a good way with the components I chose or if there are better options in the same price category.

my wifi card is a BCM43142, and my laptop is a HP pavilion 15 p004na running Mojave 10.14.4

i was told on another forum that this card did work on macos, but im starting to doubt it a little :)

any help would be much appreciated,
