andrewke
Hi, I have an Atheros AR9462 with wifi partially working on Mojave. As per normal Apple behaviour, the wifi adapter would scan for the nearest wifi hotspot and set its wifi county code accordingly. My AR9462 supports US wifi channels and so does my router, but my neighbour sets his wifi to TH (Thailand). As such, about half of the time my AR9462 would set TH as the country code rendering all the 5Ghz bands unavailable. I need to toggle the wifi on and off a few times for it to detect another neighbour's wifi set to US (my router does not support country codes). After the AR9462 sets US as country code I am able to get full speeds on 5Ghz wifi. Does anyone have any information on how to set country code? I have tried bcrmfixup but it doesn't work, so is that only for broadcom adapters? I am also using airportatheros40 kext in system library extensions. Attached is my Clover partition in the EFI. Any help would be greatly appreciated CLOVER.7z Edited November 22, 2018 by andrewke Supplement info Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336563-set-wifi-country-code-on-atheros-mojave/ Share on other sites
