Why don't we use AppleIntelE1000e.kext? AppleIntelE1000e.kext gives me two port drivers, while IntelMausiEthernet.kext can only drive 82579LM, 82574L is invalid.

Talking about dsdt patching, Maldon suggested me to use this kext. I decide to include it thinking is a newer project. I have my second ethernet disabled, but I thought that is because I don't have any ethernet connector plugged in this port. I didn't realize that is because a failed driver.

I'll check this. Thanks for the notice.

What did you do to make sleep work on 10.13.6 ? Not sure I see any other reports of this working.

The default configuration of clover can play a sleep role in 10.13.6 and 10.14.2, but it can't wake up. I don't know what it is.

important

Well, I did a test with ethernet. Indeed, with IntelMausiEthernet.kext, the second port doesn't work. It is shown as unplugged , but plugging the connector, it stills as disconnected. With AppleIntelE1000e.kext , everything works fine. I have just updated the guide. Thanks to pingyes for the report.

@Pingyes, my first attemp with your settings to test SLEEP, gave me a KP.  The patches  "rename _DSM... " and "rename HECI...." don't make sense for me. The patches ticked in clover, either. Some of them are obsolete, or unnecessary after clean the dsdt, ... honestly I don't understand anything. Anyway, as I said, I get a KP.

Could you elaborate a bit the reason of those patches? Are essential all of them?

I don't understand what they mean. These are just the default configuration of the clover. I have given up on sleep. I think your configuration is the most reasonable.

still working on sleep...

I tested the patches of pingyes screens. The "fixUSB" patch is the reason of KP. Testing with the rest of options, no way.

BUT, I've discovered something (I suspected of this time ago). The reason for no sleep in my case, is my raid card, exactly, the driver SASMegaRAID (developed in this forum bay dukzcry)

For those are testing, try to put in sleep mode, and then write this in terminal:

pmset -g log | grep sleep | tail -n 1

in my case, the output is:

System sleep preventers: SASMegaRAID

and then , you'll see if you have an specific hardware which is preventing the sleep.

Another important topic is bios settings:

These are my bios settings:

IMG-2267b.jpg

Not sure 100% . With these settings, I have sleep in windows. Any comment is welcome.

So, to test it, at least, set first this in Bios.

Interestingly enough until 10.13.6 i never was able to get sleep to work..

Z620:~ cass$ pmset -g log | grep sleep | tail -n 1

Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler

Always had that one put down to my Nvidia GPU keeping things awake in Sierra..  I swapped out GTX970 to a RX580 from AMD and got same results .. so was not that :)

Now under HS i can get sleep to work, its waking up thats the problem.. System powers down ok and mouse / kb lights go out but when hitting kb to wake it, system powers on, fans spin up and then nothing, blank screen and no kb/mouse lights..  Guess i never bothered trying this under HS.

Using FixWAK and FixShutdown in config.plist shuts system down ok then automatically wakes it up with the same results, a bit worse than needing a key press.. Not sure if playing with the darkwake settings will make a difference.  Guess thats something else to play with when i can be bothered rebooting upto 11 times to see :)

不确定100%。通过这些设置,我在Windows中睡觉。欢迎任何评论。

因此,至少要测试它,首先在Bios中设置它。

Win10 link to sata (suc) port will not sleep, link to sata (ahci) sleep normal, this is also a strange phenomenon.

Hello to everybody!

Just a quick update to inform you that I successfully updated my Z620 from High Sierra to Mojave 10.14.3!

Need to get rid of my 1050 Ti and temporary put a GT 710 in order to have a decent display.

My RX 560 is on the way, tomorrow I should be able to test it.

The GT 710 doesn't have a DP port so I had to force the HDMI 1.4 to 2560x1440@50Hz by using this patch:

https://github.com/Floris497/mac-pixel-clock-patch-V2

PM works the usual way (patched AICPM and custom SSDT), didn't figure out how to use CPUFriend...

Best regards.

AC

That's good news !

On my end, I've replaced my Graphics card (an Nvidia Gtx 740) with an RX580 which worked out of the box without any hassle.

Can't praise that card enough now that the mining-craze came to a halt.

But with that being said the cover inside the z280 doesn't fit anymore.

Does anyone of you guys know a hack to put it back in? (with the GPU still installed of course)

Could you please post a couple of pictures?

Unfortunately, the cheap RX 560 card (Asrock with 2 GB RAM) doesn't work at all in my system: I'll stick with the glorious GT 710 1 GB RAM at 2560x1440@50Hz via HDMI.

Great news. Nvidia's driver issue is a shame for apple. I wish they change of policies about that. I don't think change my 1080ti by any ati card.  If apple doesn't support nvida cards, it will mean the end of hackintosh for me. I'll survive with windows and/or linux.

With the 1080 ti, I had to leave out the bottom cover also. The card has enough room to fit, but the power connectors placed at the long side (not at back /short side) prevent close it wit the bottom cover. I don´t care that. With the main side cover is enough. Maybe the air flow is not so perfect, now, but I don´t notice wrong with temps or fans. Works 100%.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Only a dremel would do the trick but it's not worth the hassle and I don't really care lol.

Great guide thanx!

I have a issue. I followed the guide as it should ( I believe) but I can't see my HFS+ disks. Why is that? I do have HFSplus.efi.

Acer Aspire 5741g Modello High Sierra System!
      Caratteristiche:
      CPU: Intel Core I3 350M 2.27Ghz Arrandale 32nm Tecnologia
      Ram: 6: 00GB
Grafica: Monitor Pnp generico (1366x768 Ghz) 1024mb Nvidia GeForce GT 320M (Acer Incorporated)
      Archiviazione: 465 GB Sata
Driver Optiocal: Optiarc DVD RW- AS-7585H

      Hi All,
Noob here asking Help or Hints,
trying to build my first Hackintosh from HP Z820. Almost done...

Read Z820 Sierra & High Sierra Z820 installation guides in this forum - following them I managed to create a Booting Mojave install USB and successful
installation of Mojave 10.14.6 in to SSD. Via Clover Boot view I can choose Mojave SSD and it boots Ok, logging in Ok.

      Everything "looks" to work Ok.
      -CPU recognised Ok.
      -SSD & HDU Ok.
-GPU Radeon RX580, 2 x DP in use.
-Dual displays Ok (Full HD, no internal speakers)
-Wired LAN working (2 Wired LAN RJ-45 connectors, using the one without text label "AMT" (?))
      -No Wifi (no dongle)
-Audio working: line out & headphones, airplay (ALC262, injected 28) Ok.
-Bluetooth dongle (Ebay) in USB2.0 port Ok (paired BT Speaker, Keyboard and Mouse).
      -Front: 1 x USB2.0, 2 x USB3.0 (all as USB2.0 mode, I think).
      -Back: 4 x USB2.0, 2 x USB3.0 (all as USB2.0 mode, I think).
-Back: Firewire OK/NOK ? Don't own any fw device at the moment, how to test, not important now.

Not yet signed to any Apple service, iCloud, etc. Not yet installed any other software except Clover 5098 and Hackintools 2.8.6

      MY PROBLEM:
System Preferences is showing Update, Mojave 2019-001 (1.55GB). Safari was updated Ok with another smaller update.
I try to install the Mojave Update. It downloads it Ok, warns about needed Restart and after accept it starts to install it.
Apple logo visible, progress bar visible, text "Installing Software Update" visible. Progress bar shows a minor progress - stays almost in the beginning...
      and Wham! - Rebooting

Logging in Ok, System Update window pops open and offers the same update again...

Have read plenty of articles from different Forums (sorry, I'm desperate, Noob) and I have a feeling that it relates to my Z820 USB's (maybe??).
HP Z820 uses "Texas Instruments USB3.0 xHCI Host Controller" - NOT Intel like Apple. That's why All my USB are in "usb2.0 mode" (??).

I installed the system with SSD/HDU cables in factory settings (in SAS/SATA connectors. AstekFusion2Adapter & AstekFusion2Family kexts), worked fine.
I changed the SSD/HDU cables to different connectors (ACHI 0 / 1) like in Z820 High Sierra guide later and Booted Ok. Tried Update, FAIL.

Have no idea what's wrong or what's causing this - like I said, I'm a Noob and trying to build my first Hackintosh...

      Can anyone Help Noob ?
