how to move os+ boot on a new drive?

I jusst bought a 500gb crucial mx500 to see wheter the slow response of my hackintosh was due to the old 2.5" 500gb wd black hdd that i savaged from a broken laptop at home to install osx the first time but i don't know how to transfer my datas, os, programs and bootloader on the new drive since crucial only shows how to clone the drive but doesn't (obiously) refer to the clover boot partition, how can i do that?

and what filesystem should i use? apfs or hfs+?

I can also use windows or linux programs since i'm on a triple boot setup

format the drive, drop to bash and check EFI partition is present:

diskutil list

High Sierra formats for some reason don't create the EFI partitions - haven't worked this one out but to format with 10.10.5 or 10.11

2. Carbon Copy Cloner, clone the existing install to SSD

3. install clover to SSD - same version as you have now to avoid compatibility issues

4. delete EFI folder in SSD EFI partition created by clover install

5. copy EFI from existing system EFI partition to SSD EFI partition

6. you can test booting SSD now at clover menu, it should boot from clover menu after Carbon Copy minus clover

7. change boot order so it boots off SSD or remove HDD

      Hi guys,

I bought a used Mac 2015 pro with a basic 120 GB SSD.

I'm considering upgrade options for it and want to have a 500 or 1TB option for it.

Basically apple has put a excruciating price tag for upgrades so I am considering sintech adapters and a standard NVME M2 SSD installation.

My question is, aside from Samsung 970 EVO, will other options such as WD Black NVME or SanDisk SSD work?

I'm not after huge write speeds, just after storage and decent performance.
Samsung is a little bit expensive.

      Thoughts?

I'm a software developer, and have been getting into a lot of photo/video-ography. So I'm looking for advice from the community to help me build bad ass video editing comp so I don't waste my life in front of the screen waiting on rendering times.

      So I've watched this video --  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY_h_W5I0Jo&t=497s
Looks like in terms of video editing using software like PR and AE, the amount of CPU cores seems to be the greatest factor and the amount of GPU cores coming in 2nd?
Build: (keep in mind I want to run OSX)
CPU - So I'm looking at getting the new Intel i9? (because the amount of cores) GPU - some high core Radeon GPU? (because I think all apple stuff works with Radeon) FAN - cooler master, idk is this a reliable brand?  idk what  else open for suggestions
