What being lazy has to do with running a modern software on an old material??? You really didn't understand what the purpose of hackintosh is. And what's meaning a modern software? Mojave??? C'mon dude, just be serious more than 5sec.

Like I said above, my old Core2Duo config works perfectly well under 10.13.6, but no longer under 10.14. How in the hell Mojave could be more 'modern software' than HS???  :hammer:

Because of Dark Mode???  :hysterical:   Ok, I got it.

Silly to expect any hardware to be indefinitely futureproof.

There may be deeper optimizations in Mojave that necessitate this move. We don't know yet. Either way I don't think Apple is being at all unreasonable cutting off support for hardware 7+ years old.

Well...it didn't make a difference to me. Same issue. Screenshots work, that wallpaper (and others) don't. One thing that did do, is make me temporarily lose sound. :)) But I got it back after the reboot. So that's fine now. But unfortunately, no difference on the actual issue.

Well in that case I guess you either have to do a clean install or wait for another update

Hi.

New patch for performance fix: Updated on my prior XCPM post.

Regarding USB limit patch, I see no reason why my previous patch is broken with the new pattern provided by Fred... Could anybody give it one more try? Really appreciated.

kext: com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI
find: 83 FB 0F 0F 83 03 05 00 00
repl: 83 FB 0F 90 90 90 90 90 90

Works fine

Fred

Weird... not working for me on X99... KP on early boot... reason XHCI

I need:

Find: 83FB0F0F 83030500 00
Replace: 83FB0F90 90909090 90

Edit:

Oh I see that @PMHeart just confirmed before...

You know, I hate to say that,

my Core2 Duo E8400 (SSE4.1 only, no SSE4.2) + GT 640 1G, after Mojave installation success, boot to Mojave system restarting on gray screen and mouse cursor. (GPT + APFS, Clover 4522. Works fine with 10.13.6)

I'm having the same issue on my C2Q Q9550. I took the ssd out, plugged it in my other system, finished the installation there, put the SSD back in the Q9550 but it panics on the CPU

Well, I finally am able to reach Mojave Beta 2 Desktop using Beta 1's CoreDisplay binary located on: "/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreDisplay.framework/Versions/A". So, no longer stuck at gray screen with cursor appears on the top left. Thanks.

Has anyone tried the new full installer? It ends up in a black screen on my SkyLake rig.

I'll give it a go after work today. I tried downloading full installer before I left but I was only getting a 12.9 mb file.

It is all about what I'm questioning - What could be a such 'deeper optimizations' in Mojave that would necessitate this move? In current state, nothing IMHO. HS beta 2 > Mojave beta 2

But Apple has already promised to add the support for Mac Pro's 2010 with metal gpu's in the next beta releases.

With Mojave 10.14 DP2, patched WebDriver-387.10.10.10.35.106 (10.13.5) has become practically unusable...

Only by scrolling some Safari page, one really gets in danger of suffering epileptic attacks.. :help:

May the lord be with us and send as a WEB DRIVER as soon as possible.. :wink_anim::whistle:

Everything ok on my X-99 with Mojave beta 2.

I do not know what Master Mald0n did in my DSDT, but since 13.4 until this recent beta 2, I never needed to change the usb patch. I have the Bios by default and the USBs always work fine without changes. Thank you Master Mald0n :thumbsup_anim:

I just updated to beta 2 with no problems. Lots of noticeable improvements. It would NOT update with all my drives connected, so I removed all except the Mojave SSD M.2 drive and the update went flawlessly.

I seem to have lost Bluetooth upon installation of Beta 2.  Now, neither BrcmPatchRam2.kext nor BrcmFirmwareData.kext load whether I put them in Clover/kexts/10.14 or Clover/kexts/Other.  Anyone else have these kexts loaded?

No need.  I got them to load by installing them in L/E.  I guess Clover updates will take care of this in time.

Did you try with fakecpuid???

No I haven't but I did use MacPro6,1 SMBIOS, the problem is rather curious, the installation goes through no KP, no reboot but it fails to load the GPU and the display goes black.

I had the same issue with High Sierra, I must say I don't care about installing Mojave on that system because I don't use it anymore, I was testing something with @ricoc90

Weird, I didn't find SystemLogo on /Applications/Utilities/System Information.app/Contents/Resources/Assets.car.

Is it on different file?

Hmm, Odd thing happened with Beta 2, almost 90% of the screen tearing is gone. using a GTX 660 except when really pushing metal via something like GFX Medal Benchmark. then the tearing only shows up with advanced medal 2 function tests...

its almost like they haven't fully optimized Medal and the drivers that go with it to allow for acceleration.

it's hands down better then it was, but still needs improvement.

Fine

New port limit patch needed!

Also Dp audio is not working anymore

How's the performance of the GPU? do you have acceleration? I haven't tested Mojave on my 1070 yet, does it worth the hassle or should I wait for the first official release and the official nvidia web drivers?

Hey man,

I was wondering, since you have a GTX 660, do you also have any issues opening up certain images with Quick Look and Preview? Doesn't happen for screenshots and live photos, but it does happen for images like wallpapers and stuff. Also, it does not occur with the iGPU.

It seems worst than before

no acceleration

only the chance to have two monitors connected at right resolutions

performance is poor
