Hello everyone, I have an Asus gl502vmk (i7 kabylake + GTX 1060 6 gb) laptop and I tried all the patches/kexts to get the brightness with fn keys/touchpad (I2C ELAN 1200 works with VooDoo I2C kext v1.0 but no gestures/preference pane)/Keyboard backlight to work but no success so far, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

[EDIT] (10/04/2018)

Battery status now works, thanks to @RehabMan turned out to be incorrect SMBIOS (used iMac instead of Mbp) lol, but it drains crazy fast (~1.5 - 2 hours while on standby (all apps quited!), on windows 10 it lasts 4 - 5 hours, and on linux it lasts 6 ~ 7 hours!)

And with VoodooI2C v2.0.1 + VoodooI2CHID kext and patched DSDT, the touchpad is now detected in the sys pref pane but still no input.

Sound works with VoodooHDA v2.9.1, but the only issue is that the jack sense isn't working (the output device doesn't auto switch to headphone when connected)

[EDIT 2] (11/04/2018)

The system brightness now works thanks to @onejay09 but I have no brightness slider, and there are 4 extra brightness levels (brightness stops increasing after 12 levels)  and the brightness keys are not mapped correctly, plus the brightness decreases when I plug in the ac adapter, then increases if I unplug it???, the brightness level isn't also saved after reboot.

battery still drains crazy fast (~1.5 - 2 hours, even with brightness at 50%, so apparently it is a power management issue).

and I also have shutdowns while in sleep mode (I tried darkwake=10 and darkwake-0 and darkwake=no)

P.S. I have uploaded my new report files, thanks!

i cannot imagine your setup ever booted its a mess.

try this let me know how you get on

if applebacklightinjector doesnt work try installing it to s/l/e instead of clover/kexts

Testing it now, thank you so much for your time, and about your comment I'm surprised it booted too since it is my first successful -ish hack lol :)

ish... haha

let me know what works

Soo it broke the battery status, and the trackpad is no longer detected, also still no brightness, and I see you changed the SMBIOS to mbp 13,1 is there any reason? thanks!

P.S. uploading new logs.

ok ill redo dsdt post ioreg, and does trackpad work?

nope, and now it isn't detected anymore, it appears my touchpad works fine with polling (< v2.0) but not GPIO interrupts.

IVE RE PATCHED THE DSDT WITH NO VOODOOI2C PATCHES, FIXED BATTERY.

USE THE CLOVER SETUP IVE DONE AS A BASE FOR YOUR SETUP,

POST AN IOREG AFTER U TRY NEW DSDT PLEASE.

THERES OTHER THINGS IVE FIXED IN THE SETUP, SHOULD BE A GOOD PLACE TO START FROM

you either have a different backlight injector installed or youve patched applebacklight

have you got vanilla applebacklight.kext and no other kexts regarding backlight?

Shouldn't inject kexts be YES instead of DETECT because of FakeSMC?

is it the injector i gave to you? if not then delete it and install the one in clover.zip

yes I didn't modify anything

Note: I followed this guide to modify the AppleBacklight kext https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-laptop-backlight-control-using-applebacklightinjector-kext.218222/

And here is a thread that I started with @RehabMan about system brightness, he gave me some tips but unfortunately I haven't understood them, perhaps they might help you, thanks! https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/system-brightness-not-working-10-13-asus-gl502vmk-laptop.249483/#post-1723397

I have put together this simple little guide for anybody wanting to use a Patched DSDT EFI with the same configuration as me.
This is also a thread to discuss everything Z390 Pro and try and help where we can and maybe make things a little better for you.

A huge massive thank you to @glasgood @MaLd0n @larabee These three guys have helped me and talked me so much and are as helpful as you could ever get, Without them I wouldn't have a perfect working build like I do or be putting up this Guide & Discussion Thread sharing the hard work and countless hours that we have all put in to this.

This EFI and Patched DSDT have been created to work with a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro, 9900k with a Vega 56 but has also been tested and verified fully working with the following Hardware

      CPU's
      8700k, 9600k, 9700k, 9900k

      GPU's
      RX 560, 570, 580, 590, Vega 56, Vega 64, Radion VII
(If you have success with any different CPU or GPU's then please do let me know)

ADDITIONAL DSDT's  (A big thanks to @MaLd0n for compiling these extra DSDT's)
If your using a Vega 56/64 or Radion VII then use this DSDT (already installed in my EFI)

Clover r5051 ISO compiled with GCC and minimal config.plist compatible for use in VMWare Workstation.

Tested with unlocked Workstation 15 running OSX 10.9 -->10.15 guest in Windows X64 host.

      Installation
      1. Download and unzip "EFI_Clover_r5051 for VMware.zip". Mount Clover-v2.5k-5051-X64.iso by double clicking on it.
      2. Mount your VM's EFI System Partition eg in terminal
sudo diskutil mount disk0s1   3. Copy EFI folder from step 1 into the EFI partition
      4. Shutdown the VM, add bios.bootDelay = "3000" to your VM's vmx file
      5. Reboot your VM, press <F2> to access the VMware Boot Manager and add CLOVERX64.efi to the boot menu.

Substitute your own unique and valid MLB and ROM variables in the /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist (Rt Variables section) to activate iMessage/Facetime on your VM.

Hey. I found a repository with modified voodoops2controller kext. Finalized it sysctl and kprinssu and the-darkvoid based on the kext from RehabMan.
      https://github.com/syscl/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller

This kext almost like VoodooPS2Trackpad from acidanthera.
      https://github.com/acidanthera/VoodooPS2
      https://applelife.ru/threads/acidanthera-voodoops2trackpad-dlja-synaptics.2944059/

      I attach the compiled version.
      https://vk.com/doc183234383_514349114

P.S. If you try it, then naturally remove other kexts for the touchpad and keyboard and, first install via KextUtility. If it works fine, then remove it from /S/L/E and throw in /kexts/Other
      VoodooPS2Controller modified syscl.zip
      P. P. S.
I wanted to upload this archive to the forum in the "Downloads" section to where the cupcakes are located, but I didn't see a button to create a theme there. Also I have there is no opportunity to leave comments. Why?
It would be nice if someone moved this kext there, too.
