Rekoil
Just read the release notes for macOS 10.13.4 and am now wondering if it would be at all possible to pretend that a laptops dGPU (such as the GTX 1050 on my XPS 15 9560) is an eGPU and get it working that way? Since eGPUs attach via a Thunderbolt to PCIe bridge, it seems to me that an internal PCIe attached dGPU should architecturally look pretty similar to an external eGPU. Thoughts on this? fantomas
Hi Assuming this to be possible (although high probabilities say the opposite), what are you expecting for? Higher performances for your dGPU??? Even if you find a hack to accomplish that, it should look more like a cosmetic hack than something else. But I hope I'm wrong. Well, we can't use our dGPU at the moment at all on our laptops, only the Intel GPU, so being able to use the Nvidia card would be huge.
