Update: Now running Mojave! Thanks to mojave2core! Yeah :thumbsup_anim:  Still using C2D in 2019! ;)

Inserted a nice and cheap GT710 that is not relying on nVidias Webdrivers and runs OOB under Mojave.

Nice, seeing High Sierra running on this old but capable system! It rocks with a new ASUS GT1030 ;)

Config:

Gigabyte EP43-DS3L

Core2Quad Q9300

6 GB DDR2 RAM

Asus GT1030 2GB

Sandisk SSD 128GB

TP-Link AC1200 Wifi USB

Inateck KT4006 USB 3.0 PCIe (No boot)

SMBIOS: iMac14,1

Clover: 4297  4360

A good deal of DSDT editing was necessary to get this machine to boot High Sierra but finally it works flawlessly, even sleep and wake!

You NEED to have the DSDT put in place for installation because otherwise macOS doesn't recognize the SATA ports.

There are a few important BIOS settings: SATA hast to be set to AHCI and "native" and HPET has to be run "64-bit", I'd recommend to disable IDE and the serial and parallel port.

For the GT1030 nVidia Webdrivers are needed, have to boot with nv_disable=1 until you have them installed.

You have to install Clover in legacy mode because this old fella does not support UEFI.

Only downside: The so often recommended Inateck USB-card isn't recognized by BIOS, so you cannot boot from it. It works perfectly within macOS though, have the ac-Wifi connected to it.

Hi Macinsane

I have a board GA EP43T-S3L F7, and i am using your dsdt and config files directly.

Running 10.13.6, everything is good except one big problem, the system will be halted or reboot directly sometimes,

My CPU is Core2 Quad 9500 with 8GB DDR3 Ram ,and Graphic card is GTX750,

I am a newbie in this and dont know what cause this problem, should i edit the dsdt for it or need other kext to put in my clover folder?

It will be so great if you can help me figure this out, thank you very much in advance for your help.

Attached files are the current files and a snapshot of my kext folder

Thank you and best regards

Hi! First of all: You should never use a DSDT from a different board (even the bios version is important). That your board boots with it is pure luck and maybe it is in fact the root of your problems. Second: Why do you have VoodooPS2 installed? Third: There seems to be problems with your config.plist as well. <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> should be <string>0x67</string>. So as a first step, get rid of the dsdt and get the config.plist in order. Can you boot without dsdt? The problem with my board was that a dsdt was mandatory because else mac OS wouldn't recognize the SATA drives. Don't you need the webdrivers for your GTX 750 or do you have one of these rare Kepler-based cards?

Hi Macinsane, thank you very much for your reply. i can boot without the DSDT file but it will reboot immediately after it enter to the desktop screen, i will change the <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> according to your suggestion and deleting the kext of voodoops2, and try it again, my main problem is that i am new to this and dont know how to get a right dsdt if i still need it, is there any guide for this? thank you very much for your time

Clover r4989 ISO compiled with GCC and minimal config.plist compatible for use in VMWare Workstation.

Tested with unlocked Workstation 15 running OSX 10.9 -->10.15 guest in Windows X64 host.

      Installation
      1. Download and unzip "EFI_Clover_r4989 for VMware.zip". Mount Clover-v2.4k-4989-X64.iso by double clicking on it.
      2. Mount your VM's EFI System Partition eg in terminal
sudo diskutil mount disk0s1   3. Copy EFI folder from step 1 into the EFI partition
      4. Shutdown the VM, add bios.bootDelay = "3000" to your VM's vmx file
      5. Reboot your VM, press <F2> to access the VMware Boot Manager and add CLOVERX64.efi to the boot menu.

Substitute your own unique and valid MLB and ROM variables in the /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist (Rt Variables section) to activate iMessage/Facetime on your VM.

For my laptop Hp Pavilion 15-au028ur worked patch for HP 3165sf
I also experimented with manual patching and assembled my own version:

      #Maintained by: RehabMan for: Laptop Patches #Battery_HP-DV6-1380ek.txt # created by RehabMan 2019-xx-xx # based on Battery_HP-DV6-1380ek.txt # additional patches for dv6-1380ek provided by chihab222, credit gsly # works for: #  HP Pavilion 15-au028ur, per Drovosek into method label B1B2 remove_entry; into definitionblock code_regex . insert begin Method (B1B2, 2, NotSerialized) { Return (Or (Arg0, ShiftLeft (Arg1, 8))) }\n end; # 16-bit EC0 registers #                BADC,   16, #                BFCC,   16, #                MCUR,   16, #                MBRM,   16, #                MBCV,   16, into device label EC0 code_regex BADC,\s+16, replace_matched begin ADC0,8,ADC1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex BFCC,\s+16, replace_matched begin FCC0,8,FCC1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex MCUR,\s+16, replace_matched begin CUR0,8,CUR1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex MBRM,\s+16, replace_matched begin BRM0,8,BRM1,8, end; into device label EC0 code_regex MBCV,\s+16, replace_matched begin BCV0,8,BCV1,8, end; # 16-bit method access into method label CLRI code_regex (\^.*)MBRM replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1BRM0,%1BRM1\) end; into method label UPBS code_regex (\^.*)MBRM replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1BRM0,%1BRM1\) end; into method label UPBI code_regex (\^.*)BFCC replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1FCC0,%1FCC1\) end; into method label UPBS code_regex (\^.*)MCUR replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1CUR0,%1CUR1\) end; into method label UPBS code_regex (\^.*)MBCV replaceall_matched begin B1B2\(%1BCV0,%1BCV1\) end;
The only problem - when it reaches 100% charge, it no longer falls until you reset the CMOS (15-30 seconds hold down the power button on the laptop). In the rehabman guide there is a patch for ASUS in this case, there is a patch method FBST. There is no such method in my DSDT.
      Can someone help?

      Hi everyone !

I build a new os on High Sierra and i have problem with my Skarkoon RAID 5 - 5 bay, is unmounting, work fine in windows but not in Mac Os.
I use a card eSata in chipset Marvell 88SE9215, and i have the kext 3-party eSata  but nothings change.
I try with the AppleAHCIPort.kext v328, nothings change.

      Any solution ?

      Thanks a lot !

I have what's been said to be a natively supported wifi card, but for the life of me I cannot get it working properly with High Sierra. It is detected in DPCIManager but the wifi symbol at the top is hollowed and I can't turn it on.

Here's some basic info about my hackintosh. It's running an i7 9700k with an MSI Z390-A PRO, a GTX 1070, and it's SMBIOS is running as an iMac 18.1

Someone else has posted here about this with an ac66, which I think is very similar and uses the same device number 43A0. But he didn't get his problem solved in the end. And I have looked up this problem in a million different ways, I haven't found a solution that works from any yet.

I've tried a large amount of different kext patches, kexts (fakepciid, airportbrcmfixup, etc), changing fake ID, modifying kext info.plist files, and every combination of those, none have gotten it to properly work.

I have gotten it to work in one way but it's so unstable that it's unusable. Using the IO80211family.kext from yosemite works, but then it will randomly freeze about 10-15 minutes in, and then it'll not boot 9/10 times, and when it will it'll freeze on the login or right after. It gives errors about out of date kext, only way get back in is by reinstalling. So I figure this method is unusable.

I'm just stumped on why a supposed confirmed working out of box card doesn't just just work, even with every amount of tweaking and adding kexts. I'm in my 4th day of almost nonstop testing and researching on how to fix this, and I'm too stubborn and determined to just buy a different card. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
