fraz7
Hi folks, Regarding updates for Snow Leopard, I've got the 10.6.8 Update v.1.1 - There are other updates after 10.6 - Is it important to have these incremental updates? - OR - Does 10.6.8 incorporate ALL updates after 10.6 into one big update that is called 10.6.8? - Thanks Just looking at some of these updates - 10.6.5 is 900 MB+ and is bigger than 10.6.8 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/329857-snow-leopard-updates/ Share on other sites
fraz7
I've since read the difference between an update and a combo update. The 10.6.8 Combo is 1.09 GB +/- whilst all the incremental updates from 10.6.1 thru 10.6.8 is greater than 1.09 GB - Is there anything to be gained OS wise from all the incremental updates versus going from 10.6 - 10.6.8 Combo? Maybe some things most people won't need such as support for devices ? - Just a query - Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/329857-snow-leopard-updates/#findComment-2537725 Share on other sites

Doing a combo update is ideal because then you get all of the changes in one clean package. fraz7
Yes I get the idea now OS X Leopard 10.5.4 (iMac) > update combo package 10.5.8 & OSX Snow Leopard 10.6 > update combo package 10.6.8 - & ignore everything in between - Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/329857-snow-leopard-updates/#findComment-2538107 Share on other sites
