Hello all you P5W DH owners...

 

Got now all supported on this lovely board with an E6300 @ 2.6GHz...

 

 

Now what is missing to make OSX even more joyable is the onboard sound (o;

 

 

Has anybody a working kext for this board?

Tried many different .kexts mentioned here with different vnedor/device ID combinations..but no sound...

i followed the guide to get my p5w-dh to work, however you can just use my extention

 

http://rakis.net/~justin/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.tar

 

untar this in your /System/Library/Extentions (backup your old one somewhere) and also backup/remove AppleHDA.kext from your Extentions folder.

 

once thats done remove /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache and /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

 

make sure permissions are right on your new kernel extentions :

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extentions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext

sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extentions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext

 

and reboot.

 

oh, you'll have to make sure your headphones/speakers are in the back port on the green connector.

yeah, i just got sound working a few hours before i replied to your message, i'll poke around on how to get sound-in working later today and post back here if i get it.

Do you also see that there is no onboard audio in the system profiler?
