macOS High Sierra On HP M7-J120DX Haswell HD4600 i7-4700MQ

Ok, after updated macOS High Sierra to my HP x360 Haswell HD4400 i7-4510u, Dell Inspiron 7352 Broadwell HD5500 i7-5500u, now it's the HP M7-J120DX haswell HD4600 i7-4700MQ.

1. Use Clover 4243 or higher.

2. Use newest Rehabman kexts: all FakePCIID.kexts -

3. Use 1.2 Lilu.kext, AppleALC.kext, AppleIntelGraphicsFixUp.kext.

4. Use AppleALC.kext to patch IDT-111D76E0 using layout ID 12.

Cheers,

Louis

macOS High Sierra 10.3.4 update. Must use High Sierra Patcher V2.6 or higher. For 10.3.4, we need High Sierra Patcher V2.6 or higher. Make sure to Update Clover kexts with latest Lilu.kext (1.2.2), IntelGraphicsFixup.kext (1.2.4), Shiki.kext (2.2.3), ALC.kext (1.2.2) to boot. Make sure to have the patched IOUSBFamilyHost.kext to re-install for the WIFI and Bluetooth to work as before and re-install NTFS-3G if you had it. I installed it on my external USB hard drive to make sure it worked before I installed it on the internal hard drive. This will work with HD4400 and HD5500.

Cheers,

Louis

can you post your essencial clover files, 'acpi', 'kexts' and 'config.plist'? I have the same notebook with i7-47MQ HD4600. I checked your website, but I don't find.

have a problem with the resolution 1920x1080.

When I use this resolution, and open Google Chrome, Firefox and third applications, my screen blinks and becomes pixelated...

If I change to 1600x900, works fine...

Safari and other Apple applications works fine with 1920x1080. This problems appears only with third applications...

Thank you.

RehabMan has been hard at work and has created a much better, more reliable method for both current and possibly future OS X installs. His new method, named the "hotpatch" method is far superior to our old ones and should rightfully take its place. Following is a direct link to his detailed and extensive guide to assist both current and future users with their adventures in OS X. Should you find success using his method, please remember to say THANKS for his work and to possibly add to his growing repository to hopefully assist future users in their own success stories. If you are looking to try on the very bleeding edge, then this is where you want to be.

README: The following files were created using very basic testing to ensure very basic functionality. I cannot possibly foresee or test for every possible setup scenario, so I don't even try to. There may be unforeseen problems or issues that I was unable to expect or resolve. Please try to keep this in mind should you decide to try them out. Hopefully, someone finds them useful. I cannot and do not speak for Andrw0308's specific support files.

      THIS IS MY EFI FOLDER

      EFI

      MY PC CONFIG:

Intel Patsburg C600/X79, Intel Sandy Bridge-EP
QUAD CORE INTEL XEON E5-1620 03.60 GHz

I have a HP 840 G3 that was donated to me to Hackintosh, currently running High Sierra 10.13.6. This should work for the 840 G2 and you may even have more luck with the 840 G1 with the WiFi that PCIe.

My method to install OS X on the SSD from a working real Mac via SSD to USB converter. I then install Clover and add my kexts ad set the config.plist

      Not working
      SD Card reader

      Working
Video - screen looks better in OS X then it does in Windows 10
      VGA port
WiFi and BlueTooth working OOO using the below hack
Battery status with Rehabman's DSDT patch
      Brightness controls
      Sounds - using VoodooHDA
Microphone - cannot turn it off or mute
Keyboard backlight - controlled though BIOS anyways
      touchpad - using VoodooPS2Controller
USB3 - this laptop has two on board only and I haven't test them using the docking station
      USB3.1 C
      Ethernet - using IntelMausiEthernet
Sleep - kind of, closing the lid doesn't go to sleep but goes to sleep over time.

      Not tested
This laptop does not have a Webcam - enterprise model.
      Display port
      Finger Print device

For me what keeps this from being a day to day usable laptop (Mac Book) is the WiFi + Bluetooth, not having battery percentage could be an issue later though.

Clover_folder for those that want to play along.
