Actually it has nothing to do with the performance, it will simply allow the web drivers to be installed on an unsupported Mac. Your GPU uses the Apple's builtin drivers that are provided by Apple, if you want to install the nVidia's Web Driver you can try this driver: WebDriver-346.03.15f09.pkg and install cuda.
