sony vaio vgn fe11s

T2400

nvidia 7400

sigmatel don't work

diabus, your card is a Sigmatel 9225

I cant wait until we all get the sigmatels working, im excited now.

Installed AppleHDA ALC888 drivers yesterday, but couldn't get sound working (tried all jacks), although the volume controls are no longer grayed out in the control panel and menubar. Nothing shows in the audio properties of the system profiler.

Setup:

10.4.8 Jas, kernel 8.8.1 running on AsRock Conroe945GDvi (Core2Duo 6300).

Anyone else here has AppleHDA drivers working with this board?

Not yet! :P

yeah i would love to get my alc861 working also strange though windows system info says 880 is there a patch to get alc861 working with applehda.kext

Taruga, Skippy et-al had said in the past, that the output/input ports of the ALC861/880 are very different compared to ALC882/883/885/888, I had made many questions about it, but they all told me the same...that its a no go (right now-possibly something came out in the future).

In my particular case I bite and "upgrade" to a P5LD2-VM mobo....because that gave me the sound, gma950, ICH7, and the posibility to update later to a dual core.

My old mobo was a P5GD1-VM a very good one, but was based on intel 915G/ICH6/ALC861

Hey too all !

I got some weird problem with the alc882 package(s).

After installing the ALC882 v0.4b Package my ALC882 works perfectly .. including SPDIF and 5.1 Sound...

But if i reboot the next time... the sound is gone... i got only HD Audio Output in the Sound Panel.. nada output..

If i reinstall the package , it will work again .. on the next boot... (but only once again..)

Has anybody found a workaround for this problem??

Thanx

Delete AppleAzaliaAudio.kext from /System/Library/Extensions

Yes you can hope for it !

I´ve been working in the last weeks in the Ultimate Patch Solution for both Realtek and Sigmatel, some sigmatel are already 'sounding' :thumbsdown_anim:

But I will take a couple of weeks more to finish, test and review this program.

Some preview of whats coming...

this will work for the sigmatel 9200??

Hey guys, i have a weird problem. My sound card should work out of the box but it won't. After a lot of trial and error i get audio out with skippyretard's Azalia kext instead of having full support with Taruga's driver. My Vendor ID is 10EC and Device ID is 0880. It's a Realtek ALC850.

Hope you guys can figure out what's going on.

Thanks

Jhonnypolak, try maybe to use HDA instead of Azalia, with the same ids in the kexts.

I've 10.4.6, and I sucedeed to make Azalia and HDA works for ALC880 (not both in the same time, but both can work alone).

Nonetheless, there is one issue : I've sound in and out, but I've only sound out with headphone. Any idea ?

Taruga, does that include mobile 9200 :P

I plan to support a lot of realtek and sigmatel too, at the moment I´m coding the patcher for:

Holy :) I see ALC260!!!

Taruga, am I dreaming? :P

Hey this looks good, maybe it will work for me.

One thing did seem strange to me though:-

In windows, the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the system tray reportsusing the ALC660 codec whicle device manager reports vendor as 10EC and device as 0861.

Hi,

I´m having problems with an asus n4l-vm dh. I´m using 10.4.8 with latest mifki kernel and applied ALC882_v0.4b installer.

The sound doesnt work although the keys for volume work .... the profiler says no sound h/w is installed.

Any ideas?
