Seems like it would be a good option At the same price, you should be able to buy a SATA3 250 GB ssd. It would be faster and better supported. foskvs
Im trying to go small with no cables. Thought the flash drive would be good.It might work, but you won't be able to use hibenation, as it shuts down every usb device plugged in.The usb stick you linked reaches 3 GB/s. Best SATA3 ssd reach speeds very close to 6 GB/s and they cost around 100 bucks. IMHO it is not worth it. Have a nice hack. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/327392-anyone-use-a-sandisk-extreme-pro-flash-drive-for-a-hackintosh/#findComment-2498980 Share on other sites
Brumbaer
I have 4 of these and use two of them to have a working Sierra and High Sierra available at all times. They are ok. The transfer rate is ok, but the iops aren‘t. So copying large files is ok, but booting or copying small files is not great. If you want to save space and have a relatively modern board use a m.2 drive SATA or NVMe.
