I am still using smbios MacbookPro 14,3 on OS X 10.13.5 (also 10.3.6 beta 4). Did an upgrade by downloading OS X 10.13.5 Installer from Apps Store and let the machine do the rest, for about 20 mins. I think 10.13.5 resolved those black screen you experienced.

Any luck on brightness control ?

I've been too busy with other things and haven't been able to finish working on brightness control, but all my attempts so far have failed.  I do still think it might be possible.  I'm still on 10.13.4 and everything else is working so I haven't updated further yet.  I will soon.

Im trying to install 10.13.6, but I've seen it's more functional 10.12.5, anyone has tried with 10.13.6? im trying again but I don't know if my error was of the version or anything else, anyone in 10.13.6 can upload his own EFI folder for check any issues, and upgrade

The error with the verbose mode enabled is IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3

Thanks

Stuck at the "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3" problem.

Using Xela's 062618 folder. Made sure Inject Intel was disabled. Is there a step I'm missing?

Thanks for the response.

cpus=1 didn't help unfortunately.

What did work however, is booting into safe mode post install to set up accounts and activate. Installing latest Webdrivers whilst in safe mode. Rebooting normally.

No more LockState3 and a very fast Hack.

I need to understand your hardware first before I can generate a basic config.plist for you to start. The computer name may sound the same but we have very different hardware but I think there is a good chance of getting your system working. So I need as much system details as possible. I will gen a Clover config with I have from you, will post when ready.

Meanwhile I suggest you read up more (https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config) and if possible send me 'dxdiag' in window.

Yes, replace your clover folder but make a backup of your copy first.

Hello xela. Thank you for your help, I have tried to replace the Clover folder but the result was bad. The memory of HD530 was only 7MB and the screen got glitch, the aero effect of dock and taskbar were gone. The sound, HDMI and display port were not working as well. Were there anything else that I had to do but I missed after replace Clover folder?

According to your dxdiag, you have intel hd530,  try this clover. You're running 10.12.6, I am on 10.13.6 now.

It very hard for a newbie in this game even on a desktop let alone laptop which is much harder. The best thing for you right now is to understand your hardware and read as much as possible (https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config). One step at a time, it can be done.

Attach is the Clover folder for your review and install. Again try to understand why those value are there and also learn to adapt and change the value relative to your hardware.

So, Happy hacking and post  !

I was able to install and log in on 10.13.6 also Nvidia driver installed, here my progress

Integrate screen black after apple logo:

after install the system I installed the Nvidia drivers, disable intel graphic and restart, then my screen get black and my surprise was that my external monitor just turned on when detect signal on my HDMI, the Nvidia driver was working also a weird intel driver was loaded, see my attachment.

Integrate screen get stuck on apple logo but the system loads on my external monitor, see attach:

to reproduce this just enable the inject intel option and restart, my surprise was that the apple logo get stuck but my external monitor doesn't.

g-sycn?

I was wondering if this could be because my integrate screen is 4k and maybe has g-sycn, honestly I don't know how to confirm this.

Loading drivers.

Ok I was happy, then I tried to load the kexts files provided by @xela but none of them work, only the ethernet is working and I think is because was installed by ##### I added all files in my clover configuration

I also included my 'dxdiag' output if someone wants to see my hardware detailed.

@luisrene88

Have you try CoreDisplayFixup.kext to enable 4K display (https://github.com/PMheart/CoreDisplayFixup/releases)?

What is your max display refresh rate in windows ? (120hz = gsync)

I reviewed your clover folder but there is almost nothing inside your config.plist. Here is a mod clover folder for your aw15r3, try it and see if it fix your 4K display.
