If you look at your own preboot.log, you can see that you didn't disable CsmVideoDxe-64.

You also have kexts in your Other folder that are loading when you said you just used FakeSMC and VoodooPS2Controller.

Keep working at this.  It look me 6 days to figure out what I needed to do and to actually do it.  If it helps, compare your preboot.log with mine.

attachicon.gifmnfesq.bootlog.log.txt

Mine's pretty messy. You can see that I start using one config.plist (which I use for Sierra) and switched to a different config.plist to boot to High Sierra.  You can also see that I have multiple DSDT files and use DSDT.aml to boot to Sierra and DSDT1.aml to boot to High Sierra.  I have to have separate DSDT files because, when I disable my Radeon GPU in my DSDT, I get a KP in Sierra but HAVE TO disable my Radeon GPU in order to get High Sierra to boot.

with the help of friends I managed to overcome the error setting is necessary to disable the built-in video and right now I have 9 beta.

For both of you, I had the same problem as you and fixed it.  I had to remove my discreet GPU from my DSDT so that only the Intel HD GPU shows up in System Info.  I also had to remove my custom SSDT and let Clover make my SSDT (Generate PStates, Generate CStates, Enable C7) It took a while to get this right but it worked for me.

I have the same problem but I only have 2 discreet GPUs - no internal Intel HD to fall back on. It appeared around dp5 or dp6 just like for the earlier cases mentioned...

Do we know what exactly is causing it? Anyone else care to comment?

I have two discrete GPUs, a 1080ti in slot 0 with no drivers for high Sierra beta and a old 660ti in slot 1. I do it this way since the osx has built in osx acceleration for the 660ti and using the 10.12.6 webdrivers on 10.13 was a nightmare for me.

In prior betas, high Sierra would not boot at all if two discrete were in my system. It was so bad that Intel graphics 530 wouldn't load at all if a discrete card was in my system.

But as of DP8, two discrete cards can (again) coexist peacefully. But what happens now is that the window server doesn't load on the card without a driver (my 1080ti). So since that card is in slot 0, the motherboard routes the boot-time video thru it. So after clover boots from the 1080ti, the verbose-mode output stops at gIOScreenLockState, and it would appear that the system has hanged. But that's not the case. Instead the window server loads on the 660ti that has built in acceleration . So I just switch monitor inputs to the 660ti card and I'm good to go.

Hmm interesting. I guess I'm out of luck with two GTX 1080s then?.. They did work up until dp6 is the annoying thing

Have you tried using the 10.12.6 webdrivers? I tried them briefly and although acceleration sucked, both discrete cards would load and system would even sleep. I suspect if/when Nvidia releases High siera webdrivers things will be back to normal.

Yes I had been using them until dp5. But even without them I could go through the high sierra install using basic vga drivers, and install them afterwards

Interestingly for me, the installer works (with both cards installed) by using VGA mode on the 1080ti (in slot 0), but not on the main installation. Weird. Also, using nv_disable=1 boot flag to force VGA graphics causes the webserver to infinitely crash/respawn. But what I do is after an update, use Lilu/NvidiaGraphicsFixup to boot into the OS and then run AGDPFIX. For me, Lilu is unstable on high Sierra and causes kernel panics randomly so I don't use it.

So in other words this is just a different manifestation of the usual MacPro6,1 AGDP issue? I'll try booting with MacPro5,1 to check ..

Possibly. Real empiricists test! I'm using iMac17,1 so I have the black screen issue after each update.

Yes still getting (macbook-pro.home.com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.windowserver) <notice>: service only ran for 8 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds) on high Sierra  Beta 7 with laptop HD4600

hi niknod,

I had the same problem, and I've solved it by patching DSDT and SSDTs, following RehabMan's guides:

     VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ! (ABOUT TONYMACX86 AND iATKOS M / Y / EC / SR)

     Why InsanelyMac does not support tonymacx86

cheers!

one thing I noticed although NVME is native on 10.13 the speed performance is lower than using patch.

With patch I am getting higher R/W results than native support...is that something related to native drivers?

Nope - no joy using MacPro5,1 to avoid the AGDP/black screen issue

if you have black screen issue see this post

Thanks but what I really have is "WindowServer process keeps respawning" issue (during installation of dp6+)

This was just a test to see if the two are somehow linked

I'm sorry man I'm not sure what can be the cause for your problem.

because there's no official nVidia web drivers for macOS High Sierra I haven't tested macOS High Sierra on my SkyLake machine which has a 1070 GPU.

I know it takes some patience, but it's the only effective method to solve the problem;

and you don't need any other graphics kexts, like Lilu.kext or IntelGraphicsFixup.kext, nor you have to modify ig-platform-id;

just patching dsdt and ssdts is required

cheers!

      Perhaps it was the first NEC (Lenovo) Lavie Z HZ550 to install hackintosh. I hope more people who like Lavie Z series can experience Hackintosh at HZ550. She is really great.

      I found HZ550 & HZ750 on the Chinese website, which is amazing. It weighs only 790g, 13.3 inches, and the standard 2k screen, which is too attractive to me. I am a Hackintosh enthusiast. I think HZ550 or HZ750 with MacOS is the best Unfortunately, the Lavie Z series is not listed in China, only exists in the Japanese and American markets, and in the Japanese market is the NEC brand, while the American market uses the Lenovo logo.

      Fortunately, I got an HZ550 from Taobao. Yes, not HZ750. In comparison, HZ750 has more touch screens and 360 ° flip. These are hard to attract me. More importantly, HZ750 is about 200g heavier than HZ550 That's why I chose HZ550. Well, because he is only 2,000 RMB.

      The specific introduction can refer to NEC Japan official website:http://nec-lavie.jp/products/hz13b/

      The HZ550 hardware list I obtained:

                       -/+:.          ningnan@ningnandeMacBook-Air
                      :++++.          OS: 64bit Mac OS X 10.15.5 19F96
                     /+++/.           Kernel: x86_64 Darwin 19.5.0
             .:-::- .+/:-``.::-       Uptime: 19m
          .:/++++++/::::/++++++/:`    Packages: 1
        .:///////////////////////:`   Shell: zsh 5.7.1
        ////////////////////////`     Resolution: 3840x2160
       -+++++++++++++++++++++++`      DE: Aqua
       /++++++++++++++++++++++/       WM: Quartz Compositor
       /sssssssssssssssssssssss.      WM Theme: Blue (Dark)
       :ssssssssssssssssssssssss-     Disk: 11G / 108G (12%)
        osssssssssssssssssssssssso/`  CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U @ 2.40GHz
        `syyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy+`  GPU: Intel Iris Graphics 6100
         `ossssssssssssssssssssss/    RAM: 4376MiB / 8192MiB
           :ooooooooooooooooooo+.
            `:+oo+/:-..-:/+o+/-

      Advantages: small size, light weight, 2K screen, 8G memory, 512g SSD, keyboard feels good, and wireless network card can be replaced, which is unimaginable in today's thin and light books.
      Disadvantages: The sound is small, almost the same as the mosquitoes.

      Ok, bragging is over!
      In order to use the wireless network, I changed the wireless network card from inter 7265 to BCM94352ZAE. Some people called it DW1560. It is uncomfortable that in China, this card and his elder brother DW1830 were hyped to a high price of 480RMB. of. Fortunately, I bought it early, and this card is also very stable under win10, and there is no high delay and outage. The hard disk should be PM951 of Samsung, not PM981, which is lucky.   Before installing Hackintosh: You need to prepare a 16G U disk, SanDisk is not a rough choice for making MacOS installation disk, I used the latest MacOS Catalina 10.15.5, got config.plist from Rehabman, and put together an EFI, the latest version of clover and kext drivers. Thanks to Rehabman and the developers of the Black Apple community. I do n’t like that OC team very much.
      Make an installation disk: If you have a computer running MacOS, you can use the command line to make it, if you do n’t have a computer running MacOS, you can try VMware, I know that the insanelymac forum allows discussion, or use ether to write the image to U disk, use the EFI I provided to boot into the installation process.   BIOS setting: Press F12 at boot to enter the BIOS settings, Tab switches to "Security-Secure boot", set to "DISable", this is what we need, and switch to "Boot -Boot devices", set the U disk as the first boot item You can directly enter the clover guide interface, please follow it for google it.
      It is worth noting that the remaining space of your EFI partition needs to be greater than 200M, otherwise, the disk format will be wrong. In addition, the format partition format is APFS, do not choose to encrypt, your data is not valuable, at least you must have this awareness of Hackintosh, the file safe is also the same, do not enable, do not use to find your mac, otherwise, change the machine, OK .   Fortunately, no additional ssdt patch is required. All the patch functions are implemented through clover. The flat Apple is turned on. This is to solve the problem of the flower screen. You can find a solution yourself.
      Experience your black apple, this will bring a better experience than MacBook Pro. EFI_HZ550.zip
