EEE PC 1001HA Snow Leopard - Graphics problem

Hi Everybody,

I've found old iatkos cd with snow leopard on it. I installed it on my old Asus EEE Pc 1001ha netbook, but there's problem. When i want to configure it music arrives and blue screen (it's not blue screen from windows). Do you have any solutions to get graphics into work?

First of all: Don't use iAtkos. It's always better to go with a vanilla install. To get to the desktop you must go into single user mode -s and then type these commands:

1. /sbin/fsck -fy

2. /sbin/mount -uw /

3. cp /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelGMA950.kext /

4. cp /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelGMA950VADriver.bundle /

5. cp /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelGMA950VLDriver.bundle /

6. cp /System/Library/Extensions/IntegratedFramebuffer.kext /

7. Do the commands again but replace cp with rm -r

This is removing all of the graphics kexts but copying them to another location so we can try restoring them later. This works 100% with Mountain Lion but I'm not sure about Snow Leo. Let me know if you have problems.

Good luck,

- Matt
