Hi Spakk, I'm trying to get through boot with a cloned copy of Mavericks using chameleon with the 5000controller plist edit and the 3000kext info.plist edit as well. I only get the boot O error and restart on my Ryzen setup, and I can't get a Bootloader screen to show up.

 

In the meantime I'm trying to boot into Mavericks (cloned disk) on my pentium g3258 Haswell with AMD 5450 and get this error. I'm getting pretty far along but it stops here.

I want to be able to boot into Mavericks with this setup for practice for the Ryzen and getting used to chameleon bootloader setup.

 

1). Is it possible to boot into Mavericks using a cloned disk?

 

2). Anyone recognize this part of the boot process and what may be hanging it up.

 

I've been looking and haven't found much info for how to configure chameleon bootloaders, can a clover generated symbios be added to extra folder?

 

Are there any guides you are familiar with that may be helpful, I'd really like to get this Ryzen setup working in OS X and ultimately in a Sierra, but I need to get more practice with chameleon.

Is there anything special in regards to Sierra? I'm about to get my Ryzen hardware so I am more than willing to test kernels/patches/hacks.

 

The boot and kernel development hit a stop, hopefully it's temporary. Are you familiar with chameleon or Enoch bootloading?

This Ryzen Thing gets  more ridiculous  by the day ... 

 

U either communicate u wanna build a crowdfunded kernel upfront ( from the beginning ) and share it with the community after.. but not build one let it sit one day and than cry like a cup if nobody donates to it . 

 

Why would u tease others with it , how old are u  ?

 

Why do u have to be such a di** in behaviour ? !  ( rethorical questions no answer needed u wont change my opinion on it   )

Only familiar with Clover. wouldn't take me too long to pick up Chamaleon or Enoch.

 

I have my own complaints about Clover, so there is that. I did toy with the idea of writing a replacement waiting for stupid patches to support qemu CPU.

Has anyone tried to boot with Clover Bootloader with a FakeCPUID for Kaby Lake ? so with "0x00506E3"

Has anyone tried to boot with Clover Bootloader with a FakeCPUID for Kaby Lake ? so with "0x00506E3"

Yes, but it only gives the "red panic" pre boot error pictured above. Clover doesn't work with Ryzen or it doesn't load the bootloader so any CPU settings are moot at this point. This is with legacy clover the uefi mode goes directly to black screen no red panic.

Yes, the CPU information has not yet entered the bootloader

Hi Spakk, I'm trying to get through boot with a cloned copy of Mavericks using chameleon with the 5000controller plist edit and the 3000kext info.plist edit as well. I only get the boot O error and restart on my Ryzen setup, and I can't get a Bootloader screen to show up.

 

In the meantime I'm trying to boot into Mavericks (cloned disk) on my pentium g3258 Haswell with AMD 5450 and get this error. I'm getting pretty far along but it stops here.

I want to be able to boot into Mavericks with this setup for practice for the Ryzen and getting used to chameleon bootloader setup.

 

1). Is it possible to boot into Mavericks using a cloned disk?

 

2). Anyone recognize this part of the boot process and what may be hanging it up.

 

I've been looking and haven't found much info for how to configure chameleon bootloaders, can a clover generated symbios be added to extra folder?

 

Are there any guides you are familiar with that may be helpful, I'd really like to get this Ryzen setup working in OS X and ultimately in a Sierra, but I need to get more practice with chameleon.

To your other question,

Basically, you can booting with a cloned partition/ or cloned external HDD any time a different hackintosh. So, the following modifications have been made for, graphics, sound, CPU and the appropriate (amd) kernel....fakeSMC, nullpower...etc.

After that, MacOS wants to boot into the desktop, as long as all fits correctly, as for example the kernel and the drivers.

Thanks for getting back on this, I was able to boot into Mavericks using legacy clover on my pentium my main issues are CPUID I need to fake to 306A0 and for Mavericks I found i have to use drop tables "BGRT, and MCFG" which is not required for Sierra or El Capitan. The CPUID is always needed and the drop tables may be why it's not booting with chameleon? I counted 21 screens of loading before the stop after the Radeon or ATI loading..... Do you know what loads after the graphics at this point? Is it possible to configure the drop tables and cpuid in chameleon? I'd like to see the chameleon load the pentium (unsupported CPU) into Mavericks so I can get a feel for it as practice for the Ryzen if that day ever comes, eh hem!    I would like to replicate this with Chameleon.

I posted a Aida64 report on page 2 of the testing thread, if you have time could you check it to see if that's what we need to export or do they need to be in a different configuration? I only have my iPad for now but will try later when I get home.

 

Edit: I had to replace my main board, the bios was stuck with a CSM error this VGA Card is not supported. I tried rx 480, r7 265 (R9 270/hd 7xxx), GT 710, AMD 5450 no change. Tried every USB port to hit F1, F2, and delete but couldn't enter bios settings to recover. Pulled battery reset CMOS (jumped), pulled ram, pulled CPU, pulled everything, and swapped power supply. Drove to micrx cenXxx and exchanged for new board. 2 hours of frustration and wasted time. I picked my new board and returned to exchange desk and there was another Asus aM4 board being returned for Bios issues.

 

I was able to extract DSDT.AMl in Windows using DSDT Editor but I need to edit the errors (16x) in Windows. Tonight I will edit and test in clover legacy. Should I edit in Windows or import to Mac and edit with Mac? Any difference?

Yes, I read in other forums that some users have enormous bios problems with regard to the new x370 chip / mainboards. Presumably the adaptation phase is not yet completed. :(

 

Edit:

If you have all data files exported then upload this here ... I think that these files are very interesting for developers, which exclusively work with dsdt programming.

It may take some time, maybe it does not have to be complicated?

No thanks, very friendly for the offer but I do not need files.

It is just an attempt to use the acpi tables (dsdt) that gigamaxx has exported from linux or windows to try boot with clover

      You can boot a test kernel by naming the downloaded kernel.test Placing it in S/L/K and running sudo kextcache -u /
      You can then load the test kernel in Clover with the boot arg kcsuffix=test without removing or modifying the current working kernel.

      High Sierra is working on AMD systems using the above linked kernels and system kexts.    You can add kernel and System kext to an existing High Sierra drive or clone, or follow the USB installer and load a fresh install.    
       
      There are many different motherboards with very different bios, USB port, overclocking, and memory/sata/nvme layouts.    Fixes for one person may not work for someone else, don't get frustrated, try something new.  There may not be any one configuration that works for everybody.

      Uma "ajudinha" aki clã,
      Eu tenho a R9 270 e gostaria de mais informações de como instalar os drivers. Eu tentei arrumar os drivers aki no Yosemite, ja vi várias pessoas que conseguiram instalar a R9 270x e algumas q instalaram com a R9 270. Na primeira vez que eu inicio o hackinsoth (pra instalar) funciona tudo normal com os boot args: /amd1 npci=0x3000 (note que eu uso um processador AMD, mas atualmente não interfere mais na performance do hackintosh, visto que ele não necessita mais de um processador Intel). Depois de usar esses boot args, a instalação ocorre perfeitamente e o primeiro boot também, porém sem os drivers da placa de vídeo, ou seja, animações travando muito. Outro problema que encontro é que, sempre quando reinicio o PC depois de acabar de reparar as permissões, etc. na hora de fazer login ele trava na tela com o mouse rodando (aquela bolinha colorida) e um loop infinito nessa tela sempre acontece. Espero conseguir ajuda. Eu sei que isso também deve ter algo a ver com o FrameBuffer, mas das poucas vezes que eu consegui mudar alguma coisa nas configurações do clover, na hora de reiniciar e fazer login, o loop depois da tela de bloqueio ocorre novamente. Eu sempre usei hackintosh no meu Notebook da Dell, mas agora que tenho uma máquina que eu sei que tem suporte eu fico nervoso por não conseguir instalar tudo certinho, porque sei que o erro, com certeza sou eu quem está cometendo. Mas gostaria de ajuda ^^
       
      Minha placa de vídeo: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 (OC Version).
      Meu processador: AMD FX4300 (funcionando com o boot arg: /amd1)
      Minha placa mãe: GA-78LMT-USB3 rev5 (tudo funcionando também, boot args: npci=0x3000)
      Memória RAM: 8GB HyperX
       
      OBS: A versão do FrameBuffer que eu preciso não aparece no kext  AMD7000Controller nem no AMD4000XController (já cliquei em "show package content" mas n achei meu FrameBuffer que provavelmente é o Futomaki, mas não tenho certeza.
       
      OBS 2: Já ativei a opção InjectATI no Clover e também ja salvei e substitui as configurações (substitui o arquivo do clover, pelo meu editado com os meus boot args, framebuffer info, etc.
       
      OBS 3: Não se esquecam de me ajudar também, se possível na correção desse bug da tela de login que eu comentei. Provavelmente após corrigir esse problema da placa de vídeo, não acontecerá mais nenhum loop, mas como também não tenho certeza, peço ajuda novamente.
